A long-awaited flagship store is coming to Carnaby Street this week as award-winning cult makeup and skincare brand Sculpted by Aimee is opening its UK flagship store at 20 Foubert’s Place, Carnaby.
The latest stage in 30-year-old founder and CEO Aimee Connolly’s trailblazing trajectory towards the top of the global makeup and skincare industry, Sculpted by Aimee’s debut to London will boast the brand’s impressive portfolio of over 110 cruelty-free, multi-purpose products. But it doesn’t end there: expert advice and artistry from its team of professional makeup artists will also be available in its new 884 sq ft of stunning retail space.
Local shoppers and brand fans can experience the brand’s eponymous ‘Five Minute Face’ service at its new makeup stations. Offering a comprehensive service menu, the store’s team of expert makeup artists will be on hand to shade match, offer tailored consultations, provide makeup applications for special occasions or express services for consumers on the go. The second floor, opening in January 2024, features a unique event space set up for training and experiential consumer events and masterclasses.
The National Hair & Beauty Federation (NHBF) has appointed Caroline Larissey as their new Chief Executive. Formerly the organisation’s Director of Quality and Standards, Caroline is a well-known and respected expert in her field and begins the role with immediate effect.
Caroline’s early career saw her working her way through the ranks, from joining the sector as a YTS learner at 16, to stylist, beauty therapist, business owner, further education lecturer and progressing on to National Training Manager (2002). She was also the National 14-19 Diploma Project Lead for hair and beauty at Habia (2006), Head of Standards and Qualifications for SkillsActive, incorporating Habia (2013) and the Director of Quality and Standards at the NHBF (2018).
In her time with the NHBF, Caroline is widely recognised and respected across the sector for her contributions to the development of standards, quality, and guidance to support the recognition and value of the sector. She has continued to champion the employer’s and practitioners voice, acting as a conduit between the industry, professional bodies, Government agencies, departments, and ministers on issues that affect the sector. She is also an active chairperson, vice president, ambassador, advisor, and board member of various industry, Government, quality assurance, regulatory, education groups across the sector.
