Utopians – Visionary People is the latest book from legendary MUA Yasmin Heinz and top photographer Felix Lammers. A labour of love for four years, the book shares their passion for the beauty of human beings and the freedom and respect for living together, regardless of cultural norms or social conditions. The book provides a platform to amplify diverse voices and perspectives.
Yasmin and Felix worked on the project in two locations – London and Berlin. They wanted to capture the urban atmosphere of these two melting pots and their protagonists at a time of radical transition.
They chose a wide range of contributors – each one has a double-page spread with an image and their personal quote. The aesthetic heroes and ground-breaking artists featured come from various fields including activism, architecture, environment, fashion, film, nature, music, science, sports and street art.
Warpaint’s Publisher and Editorial Director, Emma Rutherford is one of the people featured in the book!
A Kickstarter campaign started on 15th September and runs until 24th October. After that closes, the book will be published, as long as the campaign has been successful. You can choose from supporting from as little as €1. For higher donations (from €15) you can chose from a range of rewards. These include signed copies of the book, your name in print as a supporter, and limited edition prints from the book.

As a portrait photographer I am always fascinated by catching the magic moment of a person. Throughout my international career, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with highly talented people. Whether it’s campaigns for advanced clients in the fashion and beauty industry or editorials for prestigious magazines, I love working in teams. Yasmin and I have a long-lasting collaboration and together we have already created many impressive images. Our latest venture “Utopians” takes the excitement to a whole new level.
Yasmin Heinz / London
Having lived and worked as a make-up artist in New York and Paris, I am based in London. I love to be among those out there, the so-called outsider creative street artists known for breaking boundaries. It was amazing to meet all these visionary people during our new project. Transforming them into utopian artworks was the biggest challenge for me.
Utopians – Visionary People is limited edition and only available via Kickstarter. Approximately 202 pages, soft bound, 180 x 270mm. Estimated publication date February 2024.
