Lash and brow treatment experts Elleebana has launched the new Elleebana Elleebalm Lami Balm Adhesive (£29.95) that is designed to transform lash lift treatments. Packed with plant-based amino acids, this revolutionary vegan and cruelty free balm has been developed to create the perfect hybrid between an adhesive and a balm with lash health at the forefront of the formulation. The National Hair & Beauty Federation (NHBF) has released its latest report, Analysis of the Trends Within the Hair & Beauty Industry by Ethnicity Across the UK – the first of its kind to be undertaken in the industry. The report marks a significant milestone in the NHBF’s commitment to develop a comprehensive evidence base and better understand the trends within the industry.
Erica Liburd, NHBF Member and owner of The Muse Salon, Northampton has reacted to the survey with the following comment”
“I welcome the report as factual evidence as to why we need to work with colleges and private hairdressing academies to improve education concerning textured hair. You can see that the current provision clearly has an impact on communities struggling or thriving from a social and economic viewpoint. If all Hairstylists were able to immerse themselves in cross cultural education and training they will begin to recognise the differences while appreciating the similarities of various hair types.
Actively integrating into communities other than your own, you will begin to understand, learn and appreciate their customs, practices and way of life. This will enable you to broaden your creativity, social engagement and salon services within the Hairdressing industry. Therefore, anyone from any ethnic background can visit a salon in their town or city and have their hair done. Also we will see a rise in Hairdressers from all cultures actively seeking professional training and working in a salon that truly represents diversity and inclusion.” For more information visit the NHBF website.
