Colour World UK is a 2-day gathering for colourists in the hairdressing industry taking place on 14th and 15th May, at Shoreditch Electric, a former power station in Central London. Immerse yourself in colour as a professional working in a salon or independently. As well as larger sponsor spaces where big brands will be showing off their portfolios and inviting questions, there are also plenty of single Colour Shair demo points meaning that you can also see independent colourists and freelancers at work. The Warpaint Extra team will also be at the event, providing MUAs to work with colourists to complete their clients’ looks.
Once you’ve bought your ticket, and entered the venue you can move around to enjoy education, colour inspiration, product innovation, news and comment by the industry’s most accomplished artists and leading brands. There is no time limit and no extra costs to watch whatever you want, including seminars and learning experiences.
This is not a sales event but about the exchange of education and inspiration. There is plenty to see, join in, and admire – make new contacts, share with friends and be part of the community.
Sunday 14 May and Monday 15 May will have slightly differing line-ups but overall similar content. There will be colour on show at every turn, plus Instagram moments, panel conversations and competitions to ramp up the fun. The event is ‘anti-zoo’ meaning the organisers invite you to watch your peers at work right up close and stand alongside to talk to them – no barriers, no divisions.
The venue has been deliberately chosen to encourage creativity. Working with the fabric of the old buildings and using props they have created a backdrop and conjure up an atmosphere of artistry and excitement. Skylights and glass roof make this a light-flooded building for you to discover as you please.
While this is not a shopping event, there will be a ‘£1 Shop’ where you can pick up colour tubes, bowls and brushes as well as styling products that are surplus to requirement and you can save them from going to landfill. There will also be a plant shop courtesy of the show plant suppliers! So if you’re feeling green… this is the place!

Colour World are keen to be as sustainable as possible. They invite invite visitors to bring water bottles/collapsable cups which will be accepted at the bars for filling – and your own cloth bags for any takeaways. Green Salon Collective is working with Colour World to ensure as much waste as possible is diverted from landfill.
