Industry News

Convié is a new, first-to-market beauty brand, offering a co-creation product development opportunity to communities of beauty connoisseurs. It gives beauty enthusiasts the opportunity to co-create products and financially benefit from their sales and helps to ensure only the most-needed and most-wanted beauty products of tomorrow are brought to market.

Co-founded by French product development and logistics specialist Isabelle Salas and American digital brand expert Cristina Harrell, Convié was born from the desire to bring back authenticity to the marketplace, enabling the creation of products there is a real need and desire for as opposed to a manufactured desire for, rethinking the traditional model and giving more power to the end-user community.

The first capsule collection consisting of 3 lip glosses and 2 highlighter/bronzer products is in production following their first launch event with influencers, make-up artists and beauty experts, where feedback was collected on the formulations and packaging.  More information available on the Convié website.

 

Textured hair specialist Claire Martin, has released her first ever book, cLAHIR Mantra.

It offers an incredible insight into Claire’s journey with textured hair. As a young child she rocked her mum’s big section cornrows, but at thirteen Claire thought it time to discover her own personal look. She practised endlessly to master a variety of unique designs and patterns on her own hair, which soon became the envy of all her friends. Because her services were in such high demand, Claire was able to create a savvy stream of income whilst still at school.

Claire has tried and tested different products and techniques to discover the ultimate combinations and effective routines to encourage hair growth, strengthen lengths and avoid moisture loss. cLHAIR Mantra provides a compressed wash day routine that covers all bases for healthy, balanced hair to assist other professionals who want to broaden their knowledge across all hair types.
