Cupid’s Bow Lips Nails – step by step

February 16th, 2023

February 16th, 2023

Valentine’s Day may be in the rear view, but February is the month to celebrate love, so our latest step by step nail design is this beautiful Cupid’s Bow Lips design by by Salon System nail expert Jaz Moger using the Gellux Collection.

If you don’t have Gellux products to hand you can substitute them for others.  If you are using non-gel polish, remember to use a good base coat and to let each coat set fully before moving on to the next step.

Step One

Prepare the nails by filing to an almond shape, pushing back the cuticle, and buffing the nail plate. Cleanse nails with Gellux Prep + Wipe (£7.15 +vat) and apply a coat of Gellux Builder Gel in Warm Pink (£11.95 +vat) and cure for 60 seconds.

Step Two

Apply 2-3 coats of Gellux Piggy Pink (£11.95 +vat), curing between each layer.

Step Three

Using Gellux Really Red (£11.95 +vat) and a fine liner nail art brush, paint the top of the Cupid’s bow along the side of the nail.

Step Four

Repeat this along all the nails, then fill in the lips and cure. This also may need 2-3 coats

Step Five

Finish with a coat of Gellux Clear Base/Top Coat (£11.95+ vat), cure and then wipe over the nails with Prep + Wipe followed by Gellux Nail & Cuticle Oil (£4.35 +vat).

Salon System Gellux is available from wholesalers nationwide.
