Belle Époque is launching its signature hand tied wefts to the professional hair market in the UK. Thin, discreet, comfortable and luxurious, the wefts are made from ethically sourced hair and are a low-maintenance solution for all hair types. The brand’s new installation method, already popular in the US, is set to transform the process here in the UK. Their handtied weft extensions prevent breakage, safely add length and fullness, last up to 10 weeks and are ethically sourced.
Belle Époque’s custom-blended, ethically sourced hair extensions are designed to help add vibrant colour, volume, and length, uniformly thick from root to tip. Hair is transformed to vivaciously voluminous, lusciously longer perfection, complete with movement and reflective shine for truly decadent results. The application of hand-tied extensions is a lot faster than other methods, and they are also easy to remove without ruining the hair underneath. Handtied wefts provide ultimate discretion as the signature weave hides the bonds, and the thinness of the weft allows lots of customisable volumes. Belle Époque’s superior hair quality provides longevity and reusability of hair giving customers 8-10 weeks of wear. Salon 64, in London is the first salon in the UK to introduce Belle Époque. For more information on the brand, education and getting them for your salon, visit belle-epoque.
Karen Betts, creator of industry revolutionising treatments such as Nouveau Lashes LVL and HD Brows, has revealed the latest innovation in permanent makeup; LASH DENSITY. This new micro-shading technique intensifies the lash line to give the appearance of thicker lashes, without the need for eyeliner, mascara, or extensions. Lash Density involves using a hand-held micro-shading tool to stipple minute particles of organic, colour matched pigment, in push and flick motions, throughout the baseline of the lashes. Pigment is diffused in between each natural hair, to add subtle depth and colour to the lash line, giving the appearance of fuller, thicker looking lashes to intensify the eye’s natural shape and colour.
Karen says, “I’ve been so excited about this new treatment; it really is the epitome of natural looking permanent makeup. Unfortunately, I think there’s still a misconception around PMU, people still think back to 90’s lip and eyeliner, but this treatment goes a long way in demonstrating just how natural PMU can look, and how effective it can be at enhancing what’s already there. Lash Density is the perfect eye enhancing treatment and this subtle eye defining technique is exactly what PMU is about, enhancing natural features to give people the power to feel confident in their own skin.”
Karen Betts LASH DENSITY launches in all Karen Betts clinics (London, Cheshire & Yorkshire) in December 2022 with prices starting from £495.
UK skincare brand Facetheory has announced it is now a Certified B Corporation (B Corp). Being rewarded this hard-to-achieve ethical accreditation is testimony to the company’s aim to balance both profit and purpose. B Corp is a certification administered by the non-profit B Lab, which evaluates not just a product or service, but the overall impact of the company, taking a more holistic view of how a business affects the welfare of the planet and its people.
Jamie Shuker, CEO and Founder of Facetheory, said “It is one of our founding beliefs that our brand and products should create a positive impact – not only for our customers, but also for the planet and its people. The world we live in is one that is under pressure and it requires a rethink of the purpose of business; do we knowingly contribute to the issues which are worsening the state of our planet or are we going to make a conscious choice to be part of the solution? We choose the latter.”
The assessment process of becoming a B Corp business is extremely thorough and measures the company’s performance in five key categories: governance, workers, customers, community and the environment.
