Regular readers will know we love a Hallowe’en nail design and it seems we aren’t the only ones. Salon booking app Booksy has seen nail salon bookings soar as customers flock to salons to celebrate this ghoulish time of year with a Hallowe’en mani. Google trends also show searches for “Halloween Nails 2022” are up 90%.
So, to help you all decide on your own spooktastic designs, we are sharing a whole bunch here. From film-inspired nail art to blood-dripped manis, nail artist and Booksy Ambassador Alice McNails has shared her top trend predictions for Hallowe’en nail art 2022 with us, along with some examples of her amazing nail artistry.
Social media sensation Alice, who is known for her incredible ‘out-there’ nail art says:
“Hallowe’en is my favourite time of year for nails, even people who don’t usually get nail art choose to for the spooky season!“
She continued: I am being asked for hand-painted Halloween scenes inspired by iconic movies like Scream, Hocus Pocus, Beetlejuice, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
You can’t go wrong with classically inspired Halloween nails, chrome cobwebs in black or nude with a high shine chrome.
I am also seeing Beetlejuice-coloured nails, 3D blood or neon dripped, graveyard scenes with shadow effects, witchy and gothic vibes, and bats and tombstones.
If scary isn’t your thing, you can go for something simple like spiders, pink and purple ghosts or eyeball art, for something simple, but eye-catching.
She concludes: My big 2022 Hallowe’en prediction is that we’re going to start to see Stranger Things inspired nails!
Alice’s top five Halloween nail trend predictions are:
1. Spooky Stranger Things inspired hand-painted designs
2. Creepily classic horror films
3. Chilling chrome cobwebs
4. Ghoulish 3D blood or neon dripped
5. Eerie Eyeball art
