Spring is definitely here, even if the weather is notoriously fickle. Take the season with you everywhere with this pretty Spring Flower nail design by Salon System nail expert Caroline Roberts, using the new Gellux Free Spirit Collection.
If you don’t have Gellux products to hand you can substitute them for others. If you are using non-gel polish, remember to use a good base coat and to let each coat set fully before moving on to the next step.
Step One
Prep the nails and push back the cuticles. Shape and buff the natural nail bed with a grey and yellow buffer. Dust and wipe the nails with Gellux Prep + Wipe (£4.20 +vat). Apply a thin layer of Gellux Fast Bond (£5.85 +vat). Then apply 2 thin layers of Gellux Builder Gel Rose Pink (£11.95 +vat) curing each layer for 60 seconds. Wipe off any sticky excess with Prep + Wipe .
Step Two
Lightly buff nails for a matt look. Using Gellux Glorious & Free (£11.95 +vat) and a 3D brush, create the flower petals. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step Three
Then, mixing Glorious & Free with Gellux Free Spirit (£11.95 +vat) to create a lighter pink, draw on the smaller petals. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step Four
Add a tiny amount of the Gellux Maple Dreams Come True (£11.95 +vat) to the middle of the flowers for the centre piece. Then, use a dotting tool and Gellux Black Onyx (£11.95 +vat) for the centre dots. Cure for 60 seconds
Step Five
Using Gellux Rush Hour and Go with the Flow (both £11.95 +vat), create the leaves with a liner brush, curing for 60 seconds.
Step Six
Finish the design by applying Gellux Shiny Top Coat (£11.95 +vat)curing for 60 seconds. Wipe over the nails with Prep + Wipe and oil the cuticles with Gellux Nail & Cuticle Oil (£4.35 +vat).
