After a decade of working with some of the leading names in the fashion world he launched his own line of lipsticks in 1994. François’ founding vision was makeup that encouraged individuality and self-expression, a vision that everyone fell in love with. After the lipsticks sold out and demand kept growing, the brand we now know as NARS was born.

Now, the brand creates innovative, high-end makeup that explores different textures, tones and finishes, such as the dual-intensity eyeshadows, velvet matte lip pencils and the multiples, as well as the iconic lipsticks it first began with.
François’ vision is still apparent throughout the brand, from the iconic minimalist packaging to the campaign images still shot by François himself. NARS is a go-to for anyone who adores makeup.
