Salon System nail expert Rosanna Hatherell has created pink leopard nail design using Gellux’s Ready to Rock Collection.
If you don’t have Gellux products to hand then you can substitute them for others. If you are using non-gel polish, remember to use a good base coat and to let each coat set fully before moving on to the next step.
Step One
Start by prepping the nails by filing nails to a round shape. Push back the cuticle using the Salon System Cuticle Handy Manicure Tool (£4.95 +vat) and remove the cuticle using the Gellux Erase Cuticle Remover (£4.55 +vat) and cuticle clippers. Buff the nail plate and cleanse nails with with Gellux Prep + Wipe (£7.10 +vat.
Apply Gellux Cover Soft Focus to the middle three nails (£11.95 +vat), and cure for 30 seconds
Step Two
Using Gellux It’s An Attitude, Dare To Wear, Shout It Out, Wild Style and Wow Factor (all £11.95 +vat), apply 3 coats of each colour onto 3/4 of the nail and cure for 30 seconds in between each coat.
Step Three
Next, using the same colours and a small dotting tool, create your leopard print spots at the top of the nail and cure for 30 seconds.
Step Four
Then, using Gellux Black Onyx (£11.95 +vat) and a smaller dotting tool, created the leopard print black marks around the spots. It is okay to be slightly uneven, adds to the effect. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step Five
To finish the look, apply a coat of Gellux Super Shiny Top Coat (£11.95 +vat), cure and then wipe over with Gellux Prep + Wipe. Finally, finish by applying Gellux Nail & Cuticle Oil (£4.35 +vat).
Salon System Gellux is available from wholesalers nationwide.
