Bright Rainbow Nails Step by Step

May 4th, 2021

May 4th, 2021

To cheer up a dreary day, we are sharing this Bright Rainbow nail design, created by Salon System nail expert Julie-Anne Larivière.

She used Gellux’s new Ready to Rock Collection, but if you don’t have Gellux products to hand then you can substitute them for others.  If you are using non-gel polish, remember to use a good base coat and to let each coat set fully before moving on to the next step.

Step One

File the nails to shape, push the cuticles back with the Gellux Cuticle Handy Manicure Tool (£6.95 +vat) and gently buff the surface of the nails with a white block.

Thoroughly wipe nails with Gellux Nail + File Cleansing Spray (£6.95 +vat) and a lint free pad.  When the nails are dry apply Gellux Fast Bond (£5.85 +vat) and let dry for 30 seconds.

Then apply one very thin layer of Gellux Builder Gel in Light Natural (£11.95 +vat) one thin layer then one thicker making sure to build an apex. Cure in between coats for 60 seconds.

Step Two

Using a fine liner nail art brush dipped into Gellux Shout It Out (£11.95 +vat) paint a small half-moon in the corner of each nail, cure for 30 seconds.

Step Three

Now dip your fine liner in to Gellux Wild Style (£11.95 +vat), and paint a stripe following the half-moon you previously created, cure for 30 seconds.

Step Four

Repeat the step three process with the remaining colours: Gellux Wow Factor, It’s an Attitude and Dare To Wear (all £11.95 +vat) cure for 60 seconds.

Step Five

Finish off the rainbow arches with a strip of Gold Flexi-Tape.

Step Six

Finally, apply Gellux Mirror Glaze Top Coat (£11.95 +vat) and cure again.  Wipe nails with Gellux Prep + Wipe (£7.10 +vat) and apply Gellux Nail & Cuticle Oil (£4.35 +vat) to finish your bright rainbow inspired nails.

Salon System Gellux is available from wholesalers nationwide.
