March 1st, 2021
As Spring begins to spread its colour and warmth, our first Warpaint Challenge for 2021 offers a prize packed with goodies from a diverse collection of UK pro makeup artists, who run their own brands alongside their successful careers. From the worlds of film, tv, theatre, editorial and red carpet come products by Louise Young, Tanya Noor, Julia Townend and Nadira V Persaud – all packed into a Get-Set-Go Bag for you.
Entitled #TheProsChallenge, your task is to create a piece of original work using Spring as your theme. Take your inspiration from the new life that’s beginning to grow and show itself in our gardens, parks and open spaces.
The rules
Your work must be on yourself or someone you share your home or social bubble with.
Cosmetic products only are to be used, no craft paints, craft glitters, etc.
Submissions are to be a maximum of three good quality images and/or one video. Post these on your wall. If you post them in stories they will have expired before the judging and will not be included.
Entrants must tag @warpaint_mag, @lycosmetics, @getsetgobags, @jt_makeup_studio and @nadiramakeupandhair in their entries. Tags must be in the photographs not just the caption or they will not be visible for the judging panel.
The work submitted must be new and entries must be specifically created for this competition.
The prize is valued at over £150 and comprises of a set of short handled eye and brow brushes from Louise Young brushes, a copy of Timeless: A Century of Iconic Looks by Louise Young and Loulia Sheppard; a Medium Spotty bag from Get-Set-Go Bags; the Nutcracker set of glitters from JT Makeup Studio; and a copy of Press Here! Face Workouts for Beginners by Nadira V Persaud.
The competition will be judged by the Pros and the Warpaint team and closing date is 17:00 (GMT) on Saturday 13th March. The winner will be announced on Wednesday 17th March.
