Online booking platform, Eleventh Hour Beauty are popping Champagne corks and setting off fireworks to welcome Daniel Galvin Jr MBE as brand ambassador and mentor.  Beauty therapist, Abigail Fletcher created the platform to allow hair and beauty businesses fill empty slots and customers find last-minute appointments. It also provides an online booking service for professionals who may not otherwise have them. Formal bookings are expected to remain mandatory once salons re-open.  Abigail was assisted by The Princes Trust, of which Daniel is a patron.  Daniel is one of the world’s most sought-after colourists for 35 years. He is well-respected in the industry for his business acumen and hugely influential for long-standing eco-ethical values, which he implemented long before they became fashionable.

As part of their #StandWithSalons campaign Eleventh Hour Beauty is offering all hair, beauty and spa businesses a free front page on the platform to add images and contact information.  Plus, a month’s free trial which commences when salons reopen and are encouraging businesses to register now while they’re closed so they can get familiar with using the system whilst they are not working to futureproof their business. The platform is ideal for both salons and self-employed hairdressers, barbers, beauty professionals, and nail technicians.

The Hair and Beauty Charity are still working to support those that need their help.  They have had just over £250,000 donated recently from professional beauty expert, Caroline Hirons and the Beauty Backed campaign. They have funds available for those people who do need their help; ask them if you need support.

They are a small charity and have to prioritise assistance to those who need it most urgently.  Priority will be given to households where only one adult (working within the industry) provides the only income to the household (e.g. if you live with your partner who will still receive an employed wage, priority will be given to single parent families whose only income is dependent on their hair/beauty industry wage).  Visit their website for more information and to make an application.
