After the year we’ve all had in 2020, it’s uplifting to see that the Pantone Color Institute has selected two shades to be Colour of the Year for 2021 – the yellow of Illuminating and the grey of Ultimate Gray. Designed to demonstrate how different elements can come together to support one another, these two contrasting tones are practical and rock solid but at the same time warming and optimistic. Created to be strong and positive while encapsulating deeper feelings of thoughtfulness with the promise of something sunny and friendly round the corner – and don’t we just need some of that magic sprinkling around at the moment?
