Our latest Top Five comes from specialist skincare brand 2LoveMy.  The brand was created by a group of skin care professionals with backgrounds in development, beauty training and professional make up artistry both on screen and off.  They turned their focus to delivering a high-end skin care range without the high-end price tag.  Using the latest technology in conjunction with nature they aim to produce the highest quality products needed to create a complete beauty routine to suit every skin type.

Developed by professionals for professionals, the products contain organic and natural ingredients sourced from trusted suppliers with ethical values.  Using nature and science in all the products they are natural, cruelty-free and free of sulphates and parabens. Where possible they are also vegan, in line with the company’s philosophy of certainty and simplicity.

All products are made in the UK, and the carbon footprint is set as low as possible.  They have also just introduced refillable packaging.

Anti-Ageing Revival Hand Cream (from £15)

This luxuriously hydrating and nourishing hand and nail revival cream contains coconut, shea, macadamia and almond oils.  A range of natural plant extracts helps to nourish and protect the skin and strengthen nails.  The antioxidant rich cream softens and moisturises the hands, leaving a silky smooth, non-greasy finish.  Also available in a 1 litre bottle for salon and professional use.

Barber Shannon Harrison definitely recommends the hand cream.   The constant washing and sanitising required before and after each client in her barber shop was causing real pain in her hands and she couldn’t open and close them without her knuckles cracking and bleeding.  She used a pea-sized amount of hand cream every night and within seven days the colour and tone of the skin on her hands had evened out, with the pains and aching gone within 24 hours (see image above).

Shannon also felt that the high-alcohol content in the sanitisers she was using didn’t help as it was really drying out her skin, causing contact dermatitis which can lead to issues with other products.  She started using the 2LoveMy hand sanitiser along with the hand cream and her hands are thanking her for it.

Anti-Bac Foaming Hand Sanitiser (£15)

This lightly mint scented hand sanitiser is made with powerful antibacterial active agents, Benzalkonium Chloride and DDAC which have been clinically proven to kill 99.9% of bacteria, fungus and viruses.  It cleans in seconds whilst being gentle to the skin to ensure hands stay moisturised and can be used repeatedly for lasting protection.  Water-based and 100% alcohol-free, it comes in a 1 litre bottle and can be decanted into 125ml refillable pump dispenser bottles (£2.50 each).  A 500ml desktop pump bottle is also available (£12).

Alcohol-free sanitisers are generally kinder to the skin as they contain emollients designed to moisturise the skin.  This is ideal for those in the beauty or healthcare sectors where repeated application is required each day.  The antimicrobial compounds used in some alcohol-free sanitisers can offer residual antimicrobial activity for up to 4 hours after application.  In addition certain water-based sanitisers can be used against a wide range of pathogens, including spores such as  C. Difficile unlike alcohol sanitisers.

Prime & Glow Moisturiser (£18)

This was specially formulated for Makeup Artists to work as a primer base for under makeup.  It also serves as a fantastic anti-ageing moisturiser and skin barrier cream.

Infused with a unique blend of ingredients including rosehip, marula, sweet almond and prickly pear seed oils along with Coenzyme Q10 it helps to reduce the depth of wrinkles and to supercharge the body’s natural skin renewal process whilst priming and protecting the skin.

Antioxidant Citrus Micro Face Polish (£18)

Packed with vitamin C, avocado oil and apricot kernel oil this zesty polish will keep skin looking younger for longer by helping to reduce the appearance of brown spots.  It also helps to boost skin’s natural collagen production resulting in healthier looking skin.

Pink Clay & Rosehip Rejuvenating Mask (£18)

This rejuvenating treatment face mask is enriched with cranberry, melon, strawberry, rosehip oil and apricot kernel oil.  The luxurious hydrating clay mask will deeply cleanse the skin and help to eliminate wrinkles while boosting skin moisturisation.  Ideal for all skin types.

The brand also supplies products in 10ml mini sizes (from £4), ideal for MUAs who need to keep their products separated for each client.  See the range here.
