Industry News

Styletek 2020s fastest growing salon foil brand from the USA, launches in the UK in January 2021.  The brand aims to fill a niche in the salon industry within the UK.  With a fresh aggressive sell price and a heavier embossed texture than many other brands within the UK, they are primed to grab a large portion of the salon foil needs.  Styletek sourced the cleanest raw materials and tested over 20 thicknesses from 2013-2018 to determine what stylists want, at the same time creating the item on a mass scale to save end users money.  Styletek foil will be available exclusively in the UK through Rebel Beauty Brands.

The Hair and Beauty Charity are still working to support those that need their help.  They have had just over £250,000 donated recently from professional beauty expert, Caroline Hirons and the Beauty Backed campaign.  They are also continuing to fundraise with the charity raffle (see here), Christmas cards, and Give-A-Gift campaign.  They have funds available for those people who do need their help; ask them if you need support.

They are a small charity and have to prioritise assistance to those who need it most urgently.  Priority will be given to households where only one adult (working within the industry) provides the only income to the household (e.g. if you live with your partner who will still receive an ‘employed wage’, priority will be given to single parent families whose only income is dependent on their hair/beauty industry wage).  Visit their website for more information and to make an application.

This is the last edition of Hot off the Press for 2020.  We will be back on 8th January 2021.  We wish you and yours a very happy Christmas and thank you for your support this year.

While we’re having a short break, ensure you check back daily from 26th December for our Twelve Days of Christmas Giveaways.
