Here at Warpaint we are always intrigued when we find products sharing our name, and War Paint For Men, the revolutionary men’s makeup brand, were no exception. This week they launched a collaboration with fashion retailer Reiss. Reiss is extremely selective in its retail partners, choosing War Paint for their shared values and commitment to men’s mental health. The British Skin Foundation and ITN Productions Industry News will be co-producing “More than skin deep” a news-style programme looking at skin stigma, skin disease and mental health, misinformation and developments in dermatology. The programme will combine interviews with the industry figures, news-style reports and sponsored editorial profiles from leading organisations and industry innovators. The programme will launch at the British Association of Dermatologists’ Annual Conference taking place from 6th-8th July 2021 at the ICC, Birmingham. The new Cosmetify Index Q3 edition has now been released, highlighting the hottest beauty brands of the year, as 2020 draws to a close. The world has changed a lot since the last refresh of the Index, which came just as the coronavirus outbreak was taking hold, so how have things changed for Quarter 3 (July – September)?

While the country is in another national lockdown and close contact beauty services have had to close, the Hair and Beauty Charity are still working to support those that need their help. They have had just over £250,000 donated recently from professional beauty expert, Caroline Hirons and the Beauty Backed campaign. They are also continuing to fundraise with the charity raffle (see here), Christmas cards, and Give-A-Gift campaign. They have funds available for those people who do need their help; ask them if you need support.
They are a small charity and have to prioritise assistance to those who need it most urgently. Priority will be given to households where only one adult (working within the industry) provides the only income to the household (e.g. if you live with your partner who will still receive an ‘employed wage’, priority will be given to single parent families whose only income is dependent on their hair/beauty industry wage).
