We are very pleased to announce the winner of our Trick or Treat Hallowe’en #WarpaintChallenge in conjunction with The Makeup Armoury.
Entrants could decide which one flicked their switch. Trick embodied the dark side of All Hallows Eve with monsters – or their victims – while Treat was the chance to present a more glamorous, fantasy creation. All entries had to be original pieces of work created specifically for our challenge.
The prize was a Ben Nye Basic Moulage Special FX Makeup Training Kit, worth £195. This sell-out kit contains everything required for a variety of traumas and is perfect for anyone looking to start practising their SFX Makeup skills. It includes sufficient makeup products to create dozens of lacerations, wounds, burns, cyanosis, fractures and more. Ideal for both student and experienced MUAs. It contains both products, tools, guidance documents and comes in a carry case. Click the link above for the full contents.
Our judges were Alice Lennon, Co-Founder and Director of The Makeup Armoury and Emma Rutherford, Editorial Director of Warpaint. They had a tough job making a decision as we had such a high standard of entries, and the most ever for one of our challenges. We are so thrilled you loved the theme. Thank you to everyone who took the time to create something for us.
Our winner is @claudiafantasycoloursart for her scarecrow. The judges loved the originality of this design as well as the high-quality execution. Very well done!
There are also special mentions for @carlysfacepainting and @_makeupsam_ both were great original designs and presented very well.
