Artis partnered with MUA Hannah Martin to create three lockdown looks. We got the lowdown so we could share them with you. Read on for step by steps for off duty, working from home and a glam virtual drinks party look.
Look 1: No Makeup Makeup
There are going to be days in lockdown where you won’t want to wear a full face of makeup, but a little something can give you a moment of self-care first thing in the morning and lift your mood.
Dot your moisturiser on your cheeks, forehead, nose and chin and blend with the Digit Skincare Oval 8.
For a subtle, healthy glow dot a liquid highlighter under your eyes and along your cheekbones and blend with the Oval 8.
Dot a tinted moisturiser or lightweight foundation over the face and blend with Elite Oval 7.
Dot a creamy concealer under the eye and blend with Elite Oval 3.
Use the Elite Linear 1 to brush up and groom your eyebrows.
Dot a cream blush on the apples of your cheek and blend with the Oval 7. Dab any excess onto your lips.
Curl your lashes and add a slick of mascara and there you have it; simple no nonsense makeup.
Look 2: WFH Makeup
Stick to your old makeup routine as much as possible, treat your Zoom calls as you would prepping for a face-to-face meeting. Follow the steps above, and add in the following:
Use an Elite Linear 1 to brush some powder eyeshadow through your brows to fill them in and frame the eye. Use light, upwards strokes from the front of the brow to the tail.
Take a mid-shade shadow colour (greys or browns work really well) and sweep it across your lower lid using Elite Oval 3.
Take the same colour on to your Elite Linear 1 Demi and brush out along your lower lash line.
Dip your brush into a dark shadow and brush along the top lash line to gently line the eyes.
Warm the top of the cheeks, forehead and neck with a bronzing powder, using Elite Oval 7.
Add a slick of your favourite lipstick and another coat of mascara and your’re Zoom ready!
Look 3: Virtual Drinks Party
Hannah says “virtual drinks parties with family and friends have been the highlight of life in lockdown and I hope we will keep it up with are friends and family that don’t live close by once this is all over. Much like life before lockdown I have taken pleasure in amping up my daytime makeup ahead of these virtual catch ups”.
To take her WFM makeup to evening add the following steps:
Dab a shimmery cream shadow (Hannah used bronze) on the lower lid and blend with your Elite Oval 3.
Use a dark shadow (Hannah used black) to blend along the lash line at the outer corner of the eye and blend up into the crease.
Take what’s left on the brush and sweep it along your lower lash line to intensify the liner a little.
Clean your brush and dip it into a highlight colour and highlight the inner corner of your eyes.
Using the Elite Oval 3 sweep bronzer under your cheek bones to gently contour. Hannah suggests swapping back and forth first then blend in light strokes
Add a little bronzer to the sides of your nose, jawline and around your forehead if you want a warmer, softly contoured look.
Dot a cream highlighter across the top of your cheekbones and blend with the Oval 3. Dot the same highlighter along the bridge of the nose and blend. Take what’s left on the brush and sweep over your cupid’s bow and brow bone.
Add another coat of mascara and favourite lip gloss.
To finish, Hannah dotted a shimmering body oil to her shoulders and blended with the Digit Skincare Oval 8.
