While lockdown measures are easing slightly, many are still at home; socialising and working online.

We asked Shiseido MUA and Ambassador Gregoris Pyrpylis to share a couple of make-up looks that are easy to create and lift the spirits.  Perfect for either online meetings or virtual cocktail hour!

Look 1: The Happy Therapy Look

Low mood? Get out of the grey area and radiate the face.

Step 1:

Unify the skin with a light cushion-type foundation like Shiseido Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Foundation (£39) or with a tinted cream that enhances the grain while maintaining a bare skin sensation!   Add concealer if necessary.

 Step 2

Add definition to the look.  Draw small hairs in the eyebrow line before brushing them upwards, curl the lashes and add mascara, ImperialLash MascaraInk (£25) for example.

Step 3:

Put a pop of color on the rounded cheekbones with a creamy blush, like the Blush Minimalist Whipped Powder (£32) in coral, peach or apricot tones.  For a sunny effect, draw a W which starts from the top of the right cheekbone, descends under the cheek, goes up on the nose and makes a second V on the other side. On the lips, put a matching colored balm.

Step 4:

Spread the glow by placing a little liquid illuminator, Synchro Skin Illuminator (£33) for example, on the cheekbones, nose and forehead.  Soak a large brush and tap to merge it with the skin.

Look 2: Perfect For Zoom Calls

You may have kept your pyjama bottoms on, but you can make sure your face is on fleek on screen.

Step 1:  A Flawless Complexion

Start with a concealer to correct blemishes, pimples, redness and dark circles of course!  Shiseido Synchro Skin Correcting GelStick Concealer (£29).  Essential to correct the complexion without masking.

Step 2: Max Impact Eyes

To have a lively look, give the eyes some definition.  Ideally, avoid black which hardens a little and use chocolate brown or plum shades instead.  Pencil a line at the root of the lashes, to blend from the outside to the centre of the eye, and a few layers of mascara on the top lashes. ControlledChaos MascaraInk (£25).

Finally, brush your eyebrows upwards to open your eyes wide. If you’re a little tired, add a line of beige pencil to the lower lining of the eye.  An illuminator tip in the inner corner also helps to enlarge the look.

 Step 3:  Neat Lips

To avoid a striated, slightly parched mouth, consider lip balm, coloured in coral or peach for a little extra shine.  And if your signature is ultra matte red, don’t change anything and stay yourself!  ColorGel LipBalm (£25).
