Delamar Academy is part of the BAFTA scholarship programme for 2020-21. Their 1 Year Cert HE Professional Design Make-up Course is eligible for the BAFTA scholarship initiative. For students who wish to train with them in September the application deadline is Tuesday 2 June, 5pm.  The BAFTA UK scholarship programme is open to British citizens in need of financial assistance to take a film/TV industry related course in the UK.  Each BAFTA Scholar receives up to £12,000 towards their annual course fees, as well as mentoring support from a BAFTA member, plus free access to BAFTA events around the UK.  This is such a prestigious scholarship for any training make-up artist to receive, so it is great news that Delamar are part of the BAFTA scholarship programme.  You can apply here.

Kent-based global corporation, Church & Dwight who manufacture brands such as Batiste, Nair, Femfresh, Spinbrush and Arm & Hammer, are supporting their local community during the current situation.  So far they have donated 20,000 bottles of hand sanitiser, along with 30,000 units of their brands to local hospitals and care homes.  They have also distributed personal care products to 3 acute hospitals in East Kent, the South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust.  In addition they have donated products to NHS London hospitals including, UCLH, Charing Cross Hospital, Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital and Kings.
