Easter Egg Nails – step by step

As it’s Easter we’re giving you a special treat – something to do over the long weekend and hopefully stop you from raiding the chocolate eggs!

Salon System nail expert Julie-Anne has created a Mini Easter Egg inspired manicure step by step using Gellux that we’re sharing with you.

If you don’t have Gellux products to hand at home then you can substitute them for others.  If you are using non-gel polish, remember to use a good base coat and to let each coat set fully before moving on to the next step.

Step One

Prepare the nails and wipe over with the GELLUX Prep + Wipe (£7.10+VAT).  Apply the GELLUX Fast Bond (£5.85+VAT) and let dry for 30 seconds.  Then apply the GELLUX Cover Pink Base (£11.95+VAT), and cure for 30 sec.

Step Two

Next, apply two coats of GELLUX Purely White (£11.95+VAT), curing in between each layer for 30 seconds.

Step Three

Using a medium liner brush, create an elongated half-moon on each fingernail.  You can alternate which colours you use.  For this demonstration Julie-Anne is using GELLUX Stormy, I’m Mauver You, Bon Bon and Peach Perfect (all £7.25+VAT).  Cure all nails for 30 seconds.

Step Four

On a paint palette or piece of foil, mix some GELLUX Choco-Latte (£11.95+VAT) with a very small amount of GELLUX Black Onyx (£11.95+VAT) and create some irregular shaped dots on the half-moons using a detail brush or very fine dotting tool.  Cure all nails for 60 seconds.

Step Five

Finally apply the GELLUX Mirror Glaze Top Coat, (£11.95+VAT) and cure for 60 seconds. Next wipe the nails with GELLUX Prep + Wipe and GELLUX Nail & Cuticle Oil (£4.35 + VAT).

Salon System Gellux is available from wholesalers nationwide.
