Working with Barry M and makeup artist Anna Lingis, TOWIE’s Pete Wicks is supporting Barry M’s Wildlife campaign which raises funds for the conservation charity, David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation. Although Pete’s not really in the market for eyeshadow (!), his social media following is largely female and it seemed a great and ‘different’ way to support the campaign, marketing the eye shadow palettes (£7.99) and to highlight the plight of the featured creatures – especially Pangolins which many people haven’t heard of.
Last week The Hair & Beauty Charity hosted its annual fundraising ball to 200 guests from across the industry and raised an impressive £9,000 on the night. The glamorous evening held at Atmosphere 28, Millbank Tower on the embankment, involved networking, runway show, awards, entertainment and fundraising and was hosted by President Samantha Grocutt from Essence PR. Guest hair artists included Charlie Taylor for Wella Professionals, Charles Worthington for L’Oreal Professional, Tracey Devine-Smith for ASP, and Linnaean Art Team for Goldwell, with nails provided by OPI, lashes from Salon System and makeup from professional salon brand, Delilah Cosmetics. Charity beneficiaries, hairdresser Katie Barnes and beauty therapist Jodie Keegans also both took to the stage to share their personal experiences on how the charity has been able to support them in their time of need.
