Monsters, movies and magic – it’s all under one roof at Monsterpalooza taking place at the Pasadena Convention Centre from 12th – 14th April. As the world’s longest running celebration of the Art of Monsters and Movie Magic, the event began life in 2008 and has been firmly cemented in the calendar ever since. If you ever needed an excuse to head to California, this is definitely it.

Exhibits
Alongside over 250 artists, the hall is filled with creatures coming to life right before your eyes via live demos from award winners many of whom are responsible for favourite characters from film, tv and haunt attractions. Tickets are priced at $30 per day or $35 on the door.
Taking place over three packed days, there’s the chance to visit the Monsterpalooza Museum, an atmospheric, walk-through experience displaying full-sized creatures, hyper-realistic sculptures, screen-used props, monsters and animatronics by some of the world’s most talented creature creators.
Guests
Check out the Monsterpalooza Theatre for hours of panels and presentations featuring film actors, directors and stars such as Bruce Campbell, Paul Reubens, Jason Patric, Chris Sarandon and Ken Page, many of whom are signing autographs and have photo opportunities.
For the cos players amongst the visitors, costumes are actively encouraged too, and their spin-off event – Son of Monsterpalooza that takes place in nearby Burbank – holds a costume competition.
