With only a few days to go before this year’s Professional Beauty London 2019, this coming weekend marks a new addition to the Warpaint area.  For the first time we’ve create an Education Village within the Warpaint area where representatives of top educators are on hand to answer your questions.

It’s very exciting to bring you this new section which you’ll find at S67 which is close to the Warpaint Live Stage.  We chatted to the educators to discover what they’re offering.

“As one of the leading make-up academies for film, TV and theatre, we are constantly reappraising what we do and why.  It is paramount that we continue to do this so we can stay on top of our field.

By attending trade shows like the Professional Beauty, we can communicate our aims with the interested public our aims,” explains Petar Agbaba of Christine Blundell Makeup Academy whose graduates are working across film, theatre and TV.

“All our tutors currently work as professional Film, TV & Theatre Make-up Artists & Designers.  Now in its 12th year, our Academy nurtures a true family spirit and aftercare, and we only run one make-up course at any one time, with the maximum class size of 14 students.  In addition, all our graduates are given the opportunity to join Christine on set, gaining valuable experience after completing their course.”

The team from West Thames College echoes this.  “We’re excited to be participating at the Professional Beauty London 2019 event.  At the event we aim to promote a range of our make-up courses and inspire attendees to consider make-up as a career path.  We will be on hand to give examples of the training, facilities, and support our college has to offer.  And, we will use this opportunity to create networks with some of the world leading brands in the make-up industry.”

Tanya Noor of Get Set Go Bags – and Head of Makeup at Phantom of the Opera in London’s West End – is also keen to chat to visitors.  “We’re looking forward to our first Pro Beauty at Excel London.  With so much business being conducted online and via social media, this is a great opportunity for us to meet our customers and followers face to face, as well as getting the chance to catch some fantastic demos and talks from industry experts.”

Reaching the right visitors is the ideal environment for Lucy Parker of Lucy-Jayne Makeup Academy.  “Professional Beauty is a great platform to showcase the Lucy Jayne Makeup Academy,” she comments.  “I will be demonstrating versatile bridal and Red Carpet make-up looks as well as discussing course options and what makes the Academy special to potential students.  I will be one of the panellists for Choosing the Right Makeup Education on the Warpaint Stage on Sunday which is exciting as I will get to meet more industry professionals and hopefully provide some valuable advice.”
