We’re counting down to the first Warpaint Championships of the year being held on Monday 25th February at the Excel Centre as part of Professional Beauty London which takes places from on 24th and 25th February.  For full details of the categories, click here for all the competition information.  Let’s meet the people with the tough job of judging all the entries.

Hannah Wing

Hannah Wing

With her background in performing arts, Hannah Wing has many years of experience working within film and TV, commercials and with corporate clients.  She also regularly styles and manages costume and wardrobe design.  Her work has included a wide variety of hair and make-up designs incorporating SFX, barbering and wigs.  Hannah will be judging Runway.

Yasmin Heinz

Yasmin Heinz

Revered by the global pioneers in the beauty and fashion industries, Yasmin Heinz’s unique artistry is inspired by the creative spirit of London, the place she calls home.  With her work gracing the pages of Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire and Vanity Fair among many publications, Yasmin has collaborated on the international stage with the likes of Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Dior and Vivienne Westwood.  She has also worked with supermodels Alex Wek, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy and Elle McPherson and has published her first English book: Elements – The Art Of Makeup.  Yasmin will be judging Runway.

Mike Peel

Mike Peel

Mike Peel is the creative talent behind Rogue Creations SFX which provides all manner of SFX for the film, TV, commercial and theatre industry and heads up our Film and TV category.  As a freelancer, Mike has worked on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Casino Royale, V For Vendetta, The Descent and Evil Aliens.  He is also an experienced teacher of SFX in a variety of colleges and schools across the UK.

Angela Youngs

Angela Youngs

Joining Mike this year is Angela Youngs, former winner of this category.  Angela runs a theatre company along with her husband which involves writing, costume, props and performing.  This led her to enter Warpaint competition and her bodypainting and prosthetics have grown from there.  She now paints for many performers and dancers and has won several awards for her incredible creations, alongside appearance at UMAE, IMATS London and The Prosthetics Event.

Jennie Roberts and Catriona Finlayson

Our favourite bodypainting judges Jennie Roberts and Catriona Finlayson are back, bringing their extensive knowledge to the table.  Founders of bodypainting festival Paintopia and collaborators with us in Warpaintopia, they have worked on a huge array of projects and are extremely knowledgeable about the latest products and techniques.

Emma Cammack

Emma Cammack

Award-winning bodypainter and artist, Emma Cammack joins Jennie and Catriona on the London Bodypaint judging panel for the first time.  Emma specialises in creating illusions, tricking the eye into seeing something that is not there, painted clothes, altered body image, making models vanish into backgrounds.  Her work has featured in editorial, advertising and on TV over the last 24 years.  She is also a judge on the US reality TV bodypainting competition Skin Wars and the spin off Skin Wars Fresh Paint.

Armand Beasley

Armand Beasley

Armand Beasley is back again to judge our Real Beauty competition.  A hugely in-demand celebrity make-up artist, he has worked with the likes of Goldie Hawn, Natasha Hamilton and Michelle Keegan.  He’ll be assisted by a guest judge from VTCT, who are partnering the student categories of the Warpaint London Championships 2019.
