Creator of Rock Royalty, Italian makeup Francesca Ragone has been a fashion and beauty lover since she was a little girl. After graduating from the MKC Beauty and Fashion Academy, where she’s specialised in image consulting, as well as corrective, photographic, bridal, and vintage make-up and hair, she took a course in London in Vintage Make-up & Hairstyle before returning home to establish her own business: Beyouty.
Today her work takes her around the world shooting advertising campaigns, fashion, celebrities and cinema videoclips. With stints at New York Fashion Week in 2015 and 2016 and as an award-winning wedding artist, Francesca has most recently worked at the 74th edition of Venice Film Festival as part the team of Compagnia della Bellezza for L’Oréal, looking after celebrities such as Charlie Plummer and Charlotte Rampling.
When her latest editorial shoot came our way, we couldn’t wait to share it with Warpaint readers. Entitled Rock Royalty, it’s an ode to traditional feminine beauty in the modern contemporary world. As Ragone explains, “If you’re thinking of the rebel yet elegant make-up for guests at weddings, then here it is. Just as Meghan Markle is slightly breaking royal protocol with her charming style and natural attitude, here is a selection of make-up looks to embrace feminine beauty between past elegance and present glamour. My look explores the rock mood every woman hides inside through black lace matching with same-colour make-up. Peachy shades underline the existence of romanticism in the female world: every woman deserves to be a princess in her own way.”
