On Sunday 22nd and Monday 23rd October Warpaint decamps to Manchester Central for Professional Beauty North. As well as our on-the-floor competitions, Warpaint Live Stage is back, packed with incredible speakers, make-up demo and two panel discussions filled with legends of the industry. It’s certainly got something to whet everyone’s whistle.
Sunday 22nd October
11:00 – 11:45 – Cosmetic Camouflage by Kryolan Education Team
Camouflage cosmetics is a genre of make-up artistry that is a key element of all areas of the make-up industry from bridal to feature film. Learn how to use the Dermacolor Camouflage system with Gemma Horner from the Kryolan team including how to make a tattoo disappear and to keep it hidden.
12:00 – 12:45 – Creating the perfect base with Ash Latif from Ash Cosmetics
Before becoming an award-winning MUA, Ash Latif was a scientist so she knows how to create the perfect products for people with problematic skin. Ash will be using HD media make-up designed for film and TV to transform her model and then show how to apply the new 3D Body and Face Glitters correctly and safely.
13:00 – 13:45 – Red carpet looks by Cassie Lomas from Cassie Lomas Makeup Academy
Getting your client red carpet ready requires preparation and not just about doing a pretty make-up look. Cassie will be sharing her tips not only on what are the best products for a flawless, long-lasting make-up but also how to look for inspiration and trends.

Professional bodypainters compete to be crowned Warpaint North Champion 2017
Monday 23rd October
11:00 – 11:45 – Old Age Make-Up Demo by Victoria Pope from VP Cosmetics
Without the use of any prosthetics, Victoria will be transforming her model into a 70 year old man with simple eyeshadow and blusher.
12:00 – 12:45 – Fashion Make-Up Demo by Paddy McGurgan from Makeup Pro Store
Professional make-up artist and Warpaint Ireland judge Paddy will use a range of products from his Makeup Pro Store in Belfast and Dublin to create a high fashion look.
13:00 – 13:45 – Pop Art Body Paint Make-Up Demo by Julia Townend from JT Makeup
Yorkshire-based make-up and body artist Julia Townend will use the range of glitters from her JT Makeup brand to create a stunning design inspired by the colourful world of Pop Art.
14:00 – 14:45 – Naturally Beautiful Make-Up Demo by Armand Beasley
Celebrity make-up artist Armand Beasley who has worked with Goldie Hawn and Michelle Keegan, will be talking about his passion for organic and natural make-up brands and create a beautiful look on stage.
15.00 – 15.45 – Industry Panel hosted by Joey Bevan
The second panel of the PB North, this time hosted by professional Fashion Stylist, Designer & Hair Stylist Joey Bevan. The panel features artists from across the make-up industry and focusing on education, training and how to grow your career
16:00 – Warpaint Championships Awards
Results of the four categories for both students and pros to be crowned Warpaint North Champions 2017.
