Famed for their beautiful make-up looks, Dolce&Gabbana once again pulled it out of the bag with their Alta Moda show inspired by the characters and atmosphere of the top-selling Italian novel The Leopard by Tomasi di Lampedusa. Featuring glowing skin, iconic feline eyes and naturally structured eyebrows, they added daring lips and nude nails to complete the look. Warpaint shows you how it was done.
To achieve the flawless complexion, start with The Primer (£46) to prime and illuminate the skin. Blend the Perfect Luminous Liquid Foundation (£38) outward from the centre of the face towards the ears. Then apply the Perfect Luminous Concealer (£27) to shadowed areas of the face and under the eyes to create an impeccable base with an even skin tone.
Step Two:
Create a natural flush on the cheeks with different shades of the Creamy Blush (£40) onto the apples of the cheeks and up towards the ears. Softly contour the face with the Creamy Bronzer in Rosa del Deserto 50 (£40) along the cheekbones and bridge of the nose. Using the Creamy Illuminator in Rosa Del Mattino 60 (£40), highlight the apples of the cheeks and up towards the ears.
Step Three:
Set the skin with the Perfection Veil Pressed Powder (£42) across the nose, forehead and chin.
Step Four:
Achieve the feline eyes by using the Perfect Mono Eyeshadow in Gold Dust 20 (£27) as a base, then blend complementary shades of shimmery pearly-pink and beige-gold from The Eyeshadow Duo in Cinnamon 80 (£34) across the eyelid and the inner corner of the eyes to add both light and a subtle sheen.
Step Five:
Amplify the upper and bottom lash lines by softly blurring The Khol Pencil in True Black 1 (£21) on the inner rim of the eye. Line the top of the upper lash with The Glam Liner in Black Intense 1 (£27) to create an intense feline gaze.
Step Six:
Apply layers of Passioneyes Mascara in Nero 1 (£28) to curled top lashes with special attention to the outer corners for definition and a volumising finish.
Step Seven:
Using The Brow Liner (£33), sculpt the brows in a shade that matches the hair colour with the wide part of the pencil nib in light feathery strokes.
Step Eight:
To achieve the beautiful plump lips, use audacious red and statement burgundy’s in the Dolce Matte (£30) and Classic Cream (£27) formulas. Then give the lips definition in matching shades of The Lip Liner (£22).
Step Nine:
Finish the look with painting the nails with The Nail Lacquer (£21) in sheer nudes.
