Clarins has several new products launching on 9th April for SS17. The Sunkissed Summer Make-Up Collection includes: Limited Edition Bronzing & Blush Compact (£30), a palette with three matte bronze shades and an iridescent coral blush containing; Limited Edition 4-Colour Eyeshadow Palette (£34), featuring a range of sunkissed shades from beige and gold to vibrant orange and bronze, with each eyeshadow formulated for wet and dry use, comprising 100% mineral, plant-based pigments; and Limited Edition Waterproof Eye Pencils (£17.50) – two new highly pigmented metallic waterproof eyeliner pencils, in gold and copper.
Pore Perfecting Mattifying Foundation (£28) is a new lightweight mattifying foundation available in five shades. Containing acacia gum micropearls, it aims to blur imperfections, reduce shiny skin, add luminosity, hydrate and protect. The Pore Perfecting Mattifying Kit features blotting papers made from hemp and wood pulp, designed to soak up any excess oil, without powder or fragrance. The gold compact contains a mirror and refillable blotting papers and is priced at £33, while the blotting paper refill is £15.
Clarins is also launching Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil (£19) in four new lip colours – Candy, Tangerine, Mint and Honey Glam. Each product contains a blend of hazelnut oil, mirabelle and organic jojoba.
Burberry reveals its second campaign with Iris Law, the face of its Essentials collection, which is designed around its core make-up philosophy: prime, contour and highlight. New Fresh Glow Highlighter in Pink Pearl No.03 and Rose Gold No.04 (£45) are lightweight and illuminating powders set with an intricate lace-pattern design, while Lip Colour Contour (£24) is a nude pen, available in four shades, and used to prime, contour and shape, for naturally fuller-looking lips. New Lip Colour Contour and extended shades of the Fresh Glow Highlighter are available now from Burberry.com, Burberry Beauty Box, selected Burberry stores and retailers worldwide.
For lovers of colour, two new launches are announced by M.A.C. Betty Boop Red Lipstick (£16.50) certainly packs a punch, while the ‘80s inspired Work It Out collection consists of four new Lipsticks (£16.50), six choices of Crystal Glaze Gloss (£18), three M.A.C Studio Quiktrik Sticks (£27), six options in Chromagraphic Pencils (£14.50), In Extreme Dimension Lash in 16 colour choices (£15.50) and 3D Black Lash (£19.50), as well as Prep + Prime Fix+ Sized to Go in Coconut, Lavender and Rose (£10). Both are limited editions and available now.
Skincare brand NIP+FAB has launched its first make-up collection available exclusively at Superdrug. Catering for fair to dark skin tones, it consists of 10 shades of foundation (£12.95), colour correctors, concealers (£8.95), eyeshadow palette (£10.95), primer (£9.95), brow products (£6.95) and nude toned liquid lipsticks (£7.95).

Cosmetics brand Smashbox has unveiled Spotlight Palette (£26). Co-created with YouTuber Casey Holmes, the Spotlight Palette is available in two tones (Pearl and Gold), each containing three velvety smooth, blendable highlighters.
Wolverhampton make-up student Lance Breakwell has beaten hopefuls from across the UK to be crowned the nation’s top up-and-coming stylist in a competition organised by business insurance provider, SME Insurance Services (SMEi). A trainee make-up artist at the Birmingham-based MAKUP Academy for Film and Media Make-up studying under Veronica McAleer, Lance impressed the judges and received the most votes for his submissions, taking the Create the Look crown. Second place was Eric Joey Jones, a hairdressing student at Hugh Baird Liverpool College with make-up by fellow student Bethany Sanders; and Amber Coates, a beauty therapy student at Suffolk One College, was placed third. The three winners were selected from a public vote of a shortlist of the most creative and inspiring hair and beauty entries.
