PANTONE has announced Greenery 15-0342 as its Colour of the Year for 2017. Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring. Greenery can be paired with neutrals, brights, deeper shades, pastels, metallics and former PANTONE Colour of the Year 2016, Rose Quartz and Serenity. We’ll be looking out for these zesty shades in next year’s spring collections.

Benefit Cosmetics has announced the launch of the they’re Real! Duo Shadow Blender (£18.50), available from February. The shadow blender perfectly fits the eye shape, while the two shades of shadow have been carefully paired for a bigger, wide-eyed look. Shade combinations include: Beyond Nude, Bombshell Brown, Brazen Bronze, Easy Smokin, Kinky Khaki, Naughty Neutral, Provocative Plum and Sexy Smokin.
The brand will also be introducing the they’re Real! Double The Lip (£15.50), a liner and lipstick in one that defines the lip line and fills in the lips with a complimenting colour. MAKE UP FOR EVER are continuing their musical collaboration trend following this year’s earlier pairing with master vocalist Jessie J, where they will be teaming up for a year of artistic collaborations. The brand’s ARTIST lip and face collection, with several launches slated throughout 2017, is showcasing Jessie J’s transformative self-expression with renowned celebrity and editorial make-up artist Sammy Mourabit. The collaboration kicks off with a music video in which Make Up For Ever sets the stage for the transformation of Jessie J. MUFE have also announced the appointment of their first ever Make-Up Artist Ambassador for Europe, the very talented Julien Rol. After completing his training at the MUFE Academy in Paris in 2009, Julien has quickly earned a reputation for demonstrating advanced technical skills and a humble, generous personality. As confident with a nude make-up as with the most extreme artistic creations, he participated for Make Up For Ever in the world championship of body-painting, which he won in 2010.
