The Estée Lauder Companies has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire the very lovely BECCA Cosmetics, which offers complexion and colour products that flatter a wide range of skin tones and enhance women’s features.  Terms of the deal were not disclosed, with the acquisition expected to close in November 2016.

Launched in 2001 by Australian MUA Rebecca Morrice Williams, BECCA Cosmetics have proved to be a huge hit with a curated product line that includes primers, concealers, foundations, blushes and highlighters that use the beauty of light to enhance the complexion.

NARS Cosmetics has revealed its Holiday 2016 Collection in collaboration with fashion photographer Sarah Moon.  The limited edition collection has been inspired by iconic cinema, with Francois Nars and Sarah Moon collectively working from the nostalgic futurism of Metropolis to set the mood for the season’s story.

The collection comprises: Moon Matte Lipstick (£21), in Indecent Proposal, Fearless Red, Rouge Improbable and Rouge Indiscret;  Blush (£23), in Isadora (Lavender Pink) and Impudique (Pink Red);  Duo Eyeshadow (£25);  Kohliner (£18.50) in Iridescent Charcoal and Rust Brown;  Eyelashes (£13) in two styles;  and Nail Polish (£15) in three shades of red.  There are also a number of gift sets available in the range, such as the Glass Metropolis Mini Audacious Lipstick Coffret (£79), Non-Fiction Touch Up Kit (£45) and Give In Take Dual-Intensity Eye And Cheek Palette (£55).

The collection will be available from 1 November nationwide.

SkinCeuticals‘s new Phyto Corrective Masque (£55) is a new multi-tasking, intensive botanical gel mask to soothe and calm temporary skin reactivity – perfect for keeping tucked in your set kit.  The oil-free and lightweight gel texture aids visual redness, along with hydrating and restoring radiance and smoothness, which increases over time with prolonged usage.  This versatile treatment is formulated with highly-concentrated green botanicals (cucumber, thyme, olive and mulberry extracts), teamed with a calming dipeptide and hyaluronic acid to neutralise temporary skin reactivity by immediately reducing sensitivity from external environmental and procedural triggers.  It can be used daily or as needed and is perfect for all skin types.

MAC Cosmetics have curated a new limited edition collection that celebrates the work of photographer Helmut Newton, a regular contributor to Vogue and Vanity Fair.  The limited edition colour collection captures the photographer’s provocative taste, dressing wine-stained lips in rouge while darkening eyes in the black and white shades of his aesthetic.  The collection features: Point ’N’ Shoot Eyeshadow x4 (£25) in Real Fantasy (eggshell matte), Hard Currency (grey matte), Influential (brown satin) and Point ’N’ Shoot (black matte);  Liquid Eyeliner (£18) in Boot Black;  Upward Lash (£19);  Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour (£21) in High Heels (red), Chateau M (deep red wine) and Self Portrait (£21);  and M-A-C Studio Nail Laquer (£10) in Monte Carlo (red), Call Time (grey) and Berlin (purple).
