This week we had a blast at the launch of the new Sleek Rockstars collection. This Limited Editon collection comes in two halves – sleek golden tones and jewel brights. The Diamonds in the Rough i-Lust Palette contains two creams and four shimmery eyeshadows in various shades of gold and bronze, paired with the metallic Lip VIP in Scandalous and Strobing Souffle in Pink Opal. For the bold, the Hidden Gems i-Lust Palette contains jewel-bright shadows along with a vampy amethyst Lip VIP in Superstar and Smoky-Quartz Strobing Souffle.
Palettes are £7.49, Lip VIP £5.49 and Strobing Souffle £6.99. The Diamonds in the Rough trio will be available from Boots while Hidden Gems can be found at Superdrug later this month – both will also available from SleekMakeup.com
The Iver Makeup Academy is pleased to announce a generous bursary for one student. The Iver Makeup Academy are based in Pinewood Studios, and the tutors have won BAFTAs and EMMYs for their amazing work. Liz Tagg, founder of The Iver Academy, says: “we want to ensure that the most talented people are able to train regardless of their personal financial background”.
The course offers character, SFX and prosthetic application, TV and Film makeup and portfolio building and in-house filming projects. They ask that candidates have three years’ experience – this can be anything from working in make-up or hair to more advanced work. Candidates must show pictures of their work, though these do not need to professional. This generous bursary offers one lucky student 40% off of their foundation course.
