Face Lace by Phyllis Cohen has revealed its brand new collection for AW16. All six designs include new and innovative metallic foils and are available in a range of styles for Halloween. The collection includes styles inspired by ancient mythology such as the Cleopatra and the Medusa, to the retro Steam-Punk styled Cyboriana, to the more modern Batterfly eye pieces. (£9.95 to £24.95).

Elizabeth Arden has kept their Christmas offering simple and chic for 2016. First up is the Beautiful Color Bold Illuminating Liquid Highlighter (£26). A limited edition golden liquid highlighter that offers a translucent, lightweight veil of shimmer. The wet formula cools upon contact and blends seamlessly with skin to create a luminous, healthy-looking glow without distrupting the makeup underneath. The netted pot delivery system ensures the perfect amount of product for each application. Next is the Beautiful Color Bold Defining 24H R Liquid Eye Liner (£18).  This smooth liquid eyeliner defines eyes with colour with the lasting benefits of 24-hour wear. The micro-fine applicator tip glides on with ease to create a precise, calligraphy-like look directly on the lash line. The buildable formula is waterproof, smudge proof, transfer proof, sweat proof, and quick drying. Finally the Beautiful Color Bold Liquid Lipstick (£18) is a creamy, high impact lip colour that combines the coverage and intensity of a lipstick with the finish of a gloss. Lips are saturated with intense colour while rich emollients leave them feeling moisturised and comfortable with long-lasting colour that doesn’t feather or bleed.


The Rosie for Autograph Lip Shine Collection is the latest addition to the make-up range for British retailer Marks & Spencer. The collection, inspired by Rosie’s red carpet looks, features six highly-pigmented lip glosses in the following shades: Blood Roses, Love of My Life, Sweetie Darling, Delicious Kisses, Rose Bud Inc. and Vintage Bouquet. The Lip Shines can be worn sheer or built up for a medium coverage (£14).


Rouge Bunny Rouge has unveiled its new RAW GARDEN Eye Shadow Palette, Caliche (£42). The colour quartet includes a selection of muted purples and has been formulated with encapsulated hyaluronic acid and argan oil to provide a silky satin-matte finish. Caliche will be available in the UK late September, in the US in October and in its international and German web boutique at the end of this week.



A new app has launched to help users find make-up products perfectly matched to their skin colour and needs. Slapp was created by Jamila Robertson to act as a virtual colour matching service for millennial women who don’t have the time to get to a shop to be colour matched or who struggle to find their shade just by looking at swatches online. The user takes a “selfie” in the app and is instantly linked to foundations, concealers or skin tints that match their skin tone. They can then buy the product through the app with the option of same day delivery and the ability to save the product in the app for quick repeat orders. Robertson said the app will be carrying small, independent make-up brands to begin with but will introduce luxury brands Bobbi Brown and Charlotte Tilbury starting in October, with plans to add new brands to Slapp’s store each month.


No7 has announced the launch of its City Light Tinted Moisturiser, available from Boots in-store and online from 28 September (£12.50). The handbag sized tinted moisturiser quenches thirsty skin and harnesses No7’s double defence technology which contains a powerful antioxidant complex designed to boost the skin’s natural defences and neutralise damaging free radicals.

Eyeko has created a limited edition collaboration with famed fashion illustrator David Downton. Eyeko founder Nina Leykind and David’s conversations on their favourite classic eyekons, the Audreys, Bardots, and Lorens, led to talk of designing products evocative of timeless beauty. David’s sketch ended up inspiring three new products, all designed for the consumer to replicate the iconic looks from feline flicks to cat eye elongated lashes and brushed up brows. The sell out brow gel has a new bushier and rounder brush shape to create wild and natural looking brows, like Audrey. The latest mascara’s elongated curve brush fits the shape of the eye and pushes up the lashes from the root giving the appearance of built-in eyeliner. Available as a set (£80).
