ELLIS FAAS is currently campaigning for War Child, the foundation that protects and supports children affected by armed conflict. The brand is half-way through their Make Up Not War campaign and has already doubled the total target of donations they expected to collect. So they now aim to increase the amount of donations. To do this, the brand is now donating €1 to War Child for each ELLIS FAAS product sold on ellisfaas.com, and includes free shipping for the duration of the campaign as an extra incentive. The company has also designed tank tops emblazoned with the ELLIS FAAS make up design for the campaign, which all net proceeds are going to War Child.
It’s that time of year again, with the AW16 collections coming thick and fast, one of our favourites is Guerlain. The collection includes Palette 5 Couleurs (£43) six new palettes containing five different shades which can be applied separately or layered. The colours combine a base to illuminate and even, two nude tones to subtly enhance, and two smoky, more sophisticated shades that intensify the whole look; L’Art Du Trait (£27) is a precision eyeliner, which is long-lasting and water-resistant; and two new lipstick shades (£27) from the KissKiss range – Fall in Red is a delicate rosy red, while Fall in Nude is a beige nude shade. The formula features scutellaria root extract to help guard against damage caused by fine pollution particles and is weatherproof, containing SPF 30.

Marc Jacobs has announced the launch of its Airblush Soft Glow Duo, available at John Lewis (£28). The luminous flush airblush uses Japanese air powder pigments infused with air to provide seamless colour that merges with the skin. The light shade in each palette highlights while the deep shade contours. Shades include: Lush & Libido, Lines & Last Night, Kink & Kisses, Flesh & Fantasy and Night Fever & Hot Stuff.
Ireland will be hosting the 64th CIDESCO World Congress & Exhibition in the RDS in Dublin from 22nd to 26th September. CIDESCO is the leading and longest established international beauty qualification and this year coincides with its 70th birthday. As part of the celebrations The CIDESCO Makeup & Body Art competition which will be held on Monday 26th September within the Professional Beauty Dublin show as part of the closing ceremony celebrations. The theme of this year’s competition is ‘MYTHS AND LEGENDS OF THE WORLD UNITE’. The cost for student category entry is €15 and professional category entry is only €25.
