Manchester Central will soon be packed with make-up, skincare and bodypainting experts who will be showcasing the latest industry trends and tips. Professional Beauty North is less than a month away and we have some great speakers and demonstrations lined up for the Live Stage 1. Professional Beauty London, our last show back in February, was a fantastic experience. Here’s a taster of what you should expect in Manchester.

Sunday 18th September
11am – Brillbird
Salon owner and now Brillbird Master Educator Michelle Brooks will be the first demonstrator of the show giving us an inside looks into this autumn’s nail art trends. Not only has she been successful in several nail competitions, but she has also been running workshops helping nail technology students learn how to do some 3D nail art techniques.
12pm – Waxperts
Do you have difficulty using wax? Look no further as the Waxperts are on hand to demonstrate how to use wax confidently. Founder and Co-Owner Ellen Kavanaghwill be pairing up with her Co-Owner and Head of Education, Trish O’Brien, to teach you how to use hot wax on the face and strip wax on the legs.
1pm – iiaa
This will be a great demonstration if you’re doing make-up for older clients. Danielle Bookatz will be teaching the do’s and don’ts when using make-up for anti-ageing. The International Institute for Anti-Ageing, iiaa, is known for it’s research and skincare products and Danielle is the brand manager for their jane iredale make-up collection.
1.30pm – Lycon
Growing underarm hair seems to be the recent trend, but if that’s not for you then Sarah Gibson, the Head Trainer from Lycon will be teaching advanced waxing techniques for those awkward underarm areas.
2pm – Kryolan
Golden girl Gemma Horner from Kryolan‘s International Pro Team, will bring some red carpet glamour to the live stage where she will be on-hand with the latest seasonal beauty looks. She’s travelled the world, working on Miss Universe, The World Bodypainting Festival and several fashion shows, so expect to see her talent and expertise shining through. 3pm – ARTDECO
We’re thrilled to welcome Ger Kealy Cunniffe back to the live stage as she plans to present her Sculpt and Strobe demonstration. The national ARTDECO make-up artist has made several TV appearances and has taught make-up masterclasses to beauty business owners across Europe. Not one to be missed!
4pm – Paintopia
Warpaint favourites Catriona Finlayson and Jennie Roberts of Paintopia return to Professional Beauty to create yet more stunning body art. Linking in with our Warpaint Championship’s bodypainting competition, the dynamic duo will be painting around the theme Born in the USA. We can’t wait to see what they come up with!

Monday 19th September
12pm – Kryolan
Kryolan UK’s Cosmetic Camouflage specialist Victoria Lee will be on the stage and presenting how to use cosmetics to camouflage skin, showcasing the Dermacolor range. Trained in Theatre, Film, TV, Fashion, and photographic make-up, it is cosmetic camouflage where she finds herself excelling. She has taken many international trips to teach this useful and rewarding discipline, with recent work including Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model Live and America’s Next Top Model Live in Canada. Dermacolor is a highly pigmented range that is designed to give coverage to the skin discolorations including: scars, varicose veins, rosacea, vitiligo, under-eye circles, thread veins, liver spots, birthmarks, acne scarring and even tattoos.
1pm – Nail Artists UK
The expert team will be presenting their newest product range, Mirrored Dust, and how to get the Chrome nail look. Nail Artists UK also run a range of workshops and classes in Monmouth and its surrounding areas.
1.30pm – Lash-Is
These eyelash experts will be introducing microblading to the stage to show you how the semi-permanent treatment transforms eyebrows, making them look fuller and natural. Known for their lash techniques and knowledge, we’re thrilled to see this latest addition from the Lash-Is team.
2pm – Nail Gaga
Educators Claire Rattigan and Amber Button will be presenting Nail Gaga’s G’elore gel polish range and will use it to do some basic salon art. The demonstration will be perfect for beginners who dream of a career in nail art.
2.30pm – Ash Cosmetics
Aisha Latif, Director of Ash Cosmetics, will be doing a step-by-step on how to correct problematic areas on the face. Ash Cosmetics are making their debut to the show and we can’t wait to see them there. The palette-based make-up brand are setting up classes that offer intense training for those who wish to kick-start their careers in the industry.
