The newest sensation to take over Instagram is, undoubtedly, liquid lipsticks. Whether in matte, satin or glossy finish, liquid lipsticks give such a polished look with the benefit of being longer lasting than traditional lipsticks. Warpaint have pulled together some of our favourite products to help you give your clients beautiful, Instagram-worthy lips to turn heads.
Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Rouge Waterproof Liquid Lip Colour (£19) provides intense colour and coverage to the lips, which is sealed with a film-forming polymer to ensure the colour will stay put as long as you need it to. We would suggest a waterproof make-up remover to help take this lip colour off, they can be stubborn!
Estée Lauder’s Pure Colour Envy Liquid Lip Potion (£20) combines the potent colour effect of a lipstick with an infusion of Avocado Oil, Jojoba Oil and Sunflower Oil to keep lips hydrated, leaving clients looking beautiful and feeling comfortable.
For a cheaper option with an equally impressive colour pay off, Warpaint suggests turning to Models Own Lix Matte Liquid Lipsticks (£7.99). They come in a eight different shades, have a refreshing minty smell, and give highly pigmented colour without being drying or uncomfortable. If you prefer less of a matte finish you could try their Lix Velvet Liquid Lipsticks, also £7.99.
Too Faced Melted Liquefied Long Wear Lipsticks (£17) provide a glossy shine rather than a matte finish, with the same unwavering colour. The Melted range also contains their Melted Metal shades (£17), glossy colours with a metallic edge, and Melted Chocolate (£19), chocolate tones infused with cocoa powder.
If bold, bright colours are what you’re after, the Lime Crime Velvetines collection is perfect (£13.95). The colours range from nudes and classic reds, to blues, greens, golds and greys which go on wet and dry matte. These waterproof lippies would be perfect to add a splash of intense colour to any look.
NYX Lip Lingerie Lipstick (£6.50) is perfect for a more natural, daytime look, with a range of twelve sultry nude shades. NYX’s extensive range of liquid lipsticks are not only high quality and long-lasting, they are also affordable and designed to complement any skin tone.
Hot new beauty brand Beauty Bakerie is now available to buy in the UK from Love Makeup, which means their Lip Whips are also up for grabs (£14.95). These beautiful colours are brilliantly long-lasting, perfect for a long shoot under bright lights. Due to the un-moving nature of these Lip Whips, Beauty Bakerie suggests taking them off with their Lip Whip Remover (£10.50).
Kryolan’s Lip Stains (£15.50) provide a beautiful, intense colour, without the thicker look provided by other liquid lipsticks. As always with Kryolan, the lip stains are highly pigmented and sure to stay put, with no smudges or transfer.
