April 6th, 2016
With a month to go until this year’s United Make-up Artist Expo, we thought it was high time to give a run-down on who – and what – you can expect to see at the show’s new home of Novotel London West.
Speakers
The inimitable Joey Bevan will be taking to the stage for a discussion on the power and necessity of collaboration. Realising the vision of a director is an exercise in team-work, and Joey will be demonstrating how the different elements of the team need to pull together for a final image or look. If you missed Joey at the Professional Beauty Show in London, now’s your chance to see the man in action!
Eva Elisabet von Bahr and Love Larson headed up the Oscar-nominated team behind The 100-Hundred-Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared, and you can find them both speaking and demo-ing at this year’s Expo. With experience on huge hits including Skyfall and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, we’re very excited to see what these Swedish powerhouses will bring to the show.
Speaking of hits, we can’t wait for the Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice Makeup and Hair Panel. With Department Head Victoria Down and Key Prosthetics artist Richard Redlefson on hand, we’re expecting this talk to be packed!
The lovely Lizzie Yianni-Giorgiou, Oscar-nominated for her work on the Guardians of the Galaxy, is supremely talented and will have some great advice to share. Keep an eye out for her talk, as it’s bound to be filled with gems of insight from her work on Thor: The Dark World, The Bourne Legacy, The Social Network and more. You can find our interview with Lizzie here.
Tina Earnshaw has worked on a huge number of iconic films and famous faces. Oscar-nominated for her work on Titanic, she also headed up the team on The Martian, Prometheus and Mamma Mia. Not one to miss! We’re also looking forward to seeing her brand new brush range – more details here.
The legendary Jan Sewell, whether you know her as the co-founder of PAM or from her incredible resume of work, always has excellent advice to share. From French & Saunders to The Theory of Everything, Jan’s work never ceases to amaze – just check our interview with her here!
