Bobbi Brown, Founder and CCO of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, has partnered with the London branch of her favourite NYC hot spot, Balthazar. As part of her brand’s 25 Year Anniversary celebrations, Bobbi has launched an Afternoon Tea and limited edition ‘Vintage Red for Balthazar’ Lip Color, in the original creamy, semi-matte formula. The limited edition ‘Vintage Red for Balthazar’ Lip Color is available exclusively at the Bobbi Brown Covent Garden Studio and online at bobbibrown.co.uk, priced at £20.
Orange Is The New Black actress and model, Ruby Rose, has been announced as the latest face of Urban Decay. Ruby comments: “Urban Decay believes in supporting individuality and personal self-expression— two values I hold very dear— because everyone deserves the freedom to explore their personality and discover their true selves.” Ruby will be spreading the brand’s gospel of self-expression, addiction to colour, and “beauty with an edge.”
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics has announced the launch of its spring/summer Magnetic Fields Lip Tar collection, available on OCCMakeup.com, Nordstrom.com, Beautylish.com and Beauty.com. The range introduces six new lip shades that marry classic florals with never-seen-before psychedelic tones. Shades can be worn alone of mixed to create custom looks, and are each formulated with a complex of naturally derived oils, including hemp, peppermint and vitamin E. The liquid lipstick delivers a comfortable matte finish that is long wearing and lightweight. New shades include Lily (true lavender), Indrid (opalescent grey with pink duochrome), Rime (pale turquoise with gold shimmer), Wasabi (opaque bright chartreuse), Magnolia (warm blush pink) and Artifact (bronze with metallic copper pearl).
Lancôme has announced Isabella Rossellini as its new muse, to spread the brand’s vision of femininity to the four corners of the earth. Isabella Rossellini and Lancôme are renewing the thread of the story that began in 1983 when she became the very first face of Lancôme. She embodies the brand’s vision which states that “la vie est belle en Lancôme” and that everyone should love their age.
jane iredale has launched its latest addition to its brow product range, the GreatShape Eyebrow Kit, available from April and priced at £26. The kit includes a dual-ended applicator, transparent botanical brow wax and a brow powder to create a personalised shade. The transparent brow wax provides the base for the powder and holds hairs in place for long-lasting definition.
To mark International Women’s Day, L’Occitane has launched an exclusively solidarity product to support women in developing countries. The new Ultra Soft Balm (£4) is a rose scented multi-purpose moisturiser made with 96.8% shea butter. Nourishing and protective, the balm can be used on the lips, body and hair. The product features brightly coloured motifs on the tin, evocative of wax-print fabrics which are worn by Burkinabé women – a symbol of festivity and tradition deeply rooted in African cultural heritage.
Bourjois is adding two new shades to its Round Pot Blush, available nationwide from 16 March, priced at £6.99.
