The public event is staged by BAFTA winning ‘Doctor Who’ prosthetics designer Neill Gorton. It brings many of the film industry’s high-flyers together to educate those passionate about prosthetics, make-up effects, animatronics, monsters, face and body art for film, TV, theatre, cosplay, casualty simulation and more! It’s a vibrant celebration of the ‘unreal’ full of skilful artists, amazing exhibits, fascinating demonstrations and special guests who have worked on films like ‘Star Wars’, ‘Harry Potter’, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, ‘Avatar’ and ‘Men in Black’, headlined by Hollywood master creature designer Jordu Schell. Central to the event is an ethos of knowledge sharing and providing valuable learning for the next generation of prosthetics artists. Tutors bringing student groups are well catered for, with ticket discounts and specially designed teaching packs to extend the day’s learning into their own classrooms. Along with back-to-back education sessions in the 500-seat lecture theatre, demos, retail stands, the Monster Mash Exhibition and Body Art Zone, the event will have a number of special features. These include three prize draws that will see the biggest winner take home a £500+ haul of prosthetics materials and kit.
