With George Hammer as her backer it’s not surprising that Dame Joan Collins has a smash hit of a cosmetic range to her name. But unlike most celebrity endorsed ranges, Joan is very much hands-on where her Timeless Beauty in concerned. Joan herself gets very involved with the formulas and the colour choices, the product innovation and of course the retailing. Rich in pigment, smooth in texture her new Autumn/Winter products pay homage to the season with a new colour, Amanda – a flattering russet tone. The new products include: Amanda Divine Lips (£18) that contains Hyaluronic Acid to plump and fill fine lines whilst delivering stayable colour. Amanda Paparazzi Compact Duo (£34) is a 3-in-1 that includes the Meticulous powder, in a neutral shade for all skin tones, lipstick and mirror. The powder is exceptionally good for hiding imperfections, diminishing open pores and controlling shine whilst the light-reflecting particles leave a radiant and flawless finish. The Amanda Nail Lacquer (£13) completes the collection in the russet autumn colour.
Soap & Glory wins this week’s best product name with their Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Plumping Gloss (£9). The product introduces a new formula and a new selection of shades, while keeping the signature tingle expected from the Lip Plumping Gloss. The super-smooth formula is available in seven new shades, including: bare enough, candy queen, nudestar, plums up, rose & shine, spun sugar and sugar peach. The brand has also launched its new One Heck Of A Blot Instant-Perfecting Power Primer and All Day Liquid To Powder Foundation. The primer features PORE-SHRINK technology to help reduce the appearance of pores, while regulating sebum secretion, along with SHINE-BLOC 12HR matte spheres to absorb excess sebum, controlling shine, and vitamin e for moisturisation and a natural glow. The One Heck Of A Blot Primer (£10) is fragrance free, flesh-toned, suitable for all skin tones. The One Heck Of A Blot Foundation (£12) offers coverage with no cakiness, while SUPER-BLUR powders cast the complexion into soft focus, instantly concealing pores and fine lines. The foundation is available in four easily-blended shades, including Fair Enough, Cool Sand, Happy Medium and Caramel.
