KIKO Milano has unvealed its limited edition MIDNIGHT SIREN collection, offering a products enriched with pearls and iridescent highlighters. The collection includes: SILK PEARL Illuminating Bronzer (£14.90), a mother of pearl powder that offers a lightweight formula available in two shades; MIDNIGHT SIREN Face Brush (£16.90), ideal for applying face powders, the soft and firm synthetic bristles allow product to blend easily and evenly; CREAM RADIANCE Highlighter (£10.90), a duo highlighter for face and eye contour, offering a gel-to-cream formula that combines a mix of spherical powders, mirconised pigments and pearls; MOON SHADOW Water Infused Eyeshadow (£7.90), featuring a gel formula and angled stylo to deliver a long-lasting pearly metallic colour, available in four shades; DARK TIDE Eyeliner (£7.90), an eyeliner pencil with a wax-based formula to provide bright colour and long-lasting wear, available in six shades; SHAPE & SHIMMER Eyebrow & Highlighter Pencil (£8.90), a dual pencil to define and highlight the eyebrow arch, available in three shades; MATTE Muse Lipstick (£6.90). a fluid lipstick with an airy, mousse-like formula to define lips with pure, intense and no-transfer colour, available in six shades; MOONLIGHT OIL SERUM (£18.90), an anti-ageing serum combined with an oil, offering a balanced formula to reduce dryness and restore elasticity.
It’s big and it’s bold, MAC Cosmetics has opened its first flagship Pro store in the UK, the largest global Pro flagship for the brand, right in the middle of London’s Carnaby Street. Opening a distinctive and prominent Pro flagship store in the UK’s fashion capital has been designed to strengthen the brand’s fashion footprint and trend authority, while accelerating its relationship with influencers and make-up artists in the industry. With more than 250 different products, the MAC Pro collection provides make-up artists with the high-quality formulations, colours and finishes needed for fashion shows, photography shoots and on television, music and film sets. The new store provides an advanced retail concept that blends high touch service with creativity and distinction. The store premieres an eight metre high feature wall dedicated to showcasing the creativity of emerging, local artists or designers throughout the year. One creative will take over the installation space with a self-contained piece of work, created exclusively for MAC, celebrating the best of British talent. These works will be a myriad of graphic, video or textural within the space, but always encapsulating the creativity and originality of the brand. The store will also feature innovative retail experiences, including a comprehensive library area for customers and make-up artists to seek inspiration and references. Nine ergonomically designed make-up stations with professional lighting and adjustable seating will be available, as well as two private make-up areas that will allow groups to share the experience. The Pro flagship will offer specialist make-up services such as bridal, theatrical, make-up lessons and workshops such as ‘M∙A∙C Techniques’ for all ages, sexes and races.
Alex Box has just announced she will be leaving Illamasqua in her role as Creative Director to focus on developing her art and personal projects. Alex will leave Illamasqua in January 2016. She joined Illamasqua in 2008 and has played an integral part in helping to build the brand’s unique ethos and philosophy. COLLECTION Cosmetics has created an Illuminating Touch Foundation (£5.99), which works in tandem with the brand’s Illuminating Touch Concealer and Speedy Highlighter. The Illuminating Touch Foundation boosts skin’s hydration for a dewy make-up look and locks moisture in place for long-lasting results. The formula offers medium coverage and can be layered to build fuller coverage as desired. Housed in a frosted glass bottle with a pump, the foundation is available in six classic shades: Porcelain, Ivory, Cool Beige, Warm Beige, Honey and Golden. Also new from the brand is a new range of professional make-up palettes. The new line-up includes: #ConcealAndLightLikeAPro Palette (£5.99), which includes eight cream concealers to conceal, colour correct and brighten, while covering blemishes and imperfections; #FaceTheDay (£5.99), an essential palette that comprises a highlighter, blusher, bronzer and four powder eyeshadows in shimmery neutrals and browns;#BlushAndGlow Palette (£4.99), a quartet palette that includes a matte bronzer, matte pink blusher, shimmering pink blusher and a neutral highlighter; and #YourStyleYourMood Palette (£5.99), a selection of nude, brown and plum eyeshadow shades.
A new range of Lipliner Pencils from Clarins (£17) will launch nationwide this month. The new pencils are available in a selection of shades to complement any lipstick shade, including: Nude Fair, Nude Beige, Nude Rose and Nude Mocha. The new formula has been enriched with jojoba oil to allow smooth and flawless application to help prevent lipstick from running.
The Solstice Highlighting Palette (£9.99) is new from Sleek MakeUP. The face and body highlighting palette suits all skin tones and includes two baked powders, one cream formula and one shimmer powder, providing a radiant glow and luminous sheen to the skin. Packaged in a rose gold compact with a mirror and mini powder brush, the Solstice palette can be used on cheekbones, cupids box, inner corner of the eyes and bridge of the nose, as well as swept across the décolletage. Urban Decay has unveiled Vice4 eyeshadow palette. The limited edition palette follows the brand’s other Vice palettes and includes 20 never-seen-before shades across deep brights, smoky neutrals and mattes. Key shades include: C-Note (pale metallic green), Grip (smoky neutral), Pandemonium (plum) and Deadbeat (black satin). The Vice4 comes with a mirror, double-ended brush and coordinating bag, while each eyeshadow features the brand’s Pigment Infusion System. The Vice4 retails at £43 and will be available online at urbandecay.co.uk.
Professional make-up artist Louise Young has new brushes to add to the range designed specifically for buffing brushes. LY51A (£19) ia a synthetic brush that’s perfect for applying and buffing in cream and liquid products. It also achieves a flawless contour with powder and liquid products. LY51 (£20) is the natural hair version of the Buffing Brush and is similar to the LY51A in design but its hair makes it the perfect brush for applying and buffing in powder products. ‘Both brushes allow you to apply a base within 30 seconds providing the quickest ever tool. The natural hair brush is especially great for touch ups and with blocking powders’ Louise explains.
