The Force Is Strong with Max Factor


Max Factor has announced a collaboration with Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, whereby Max Factor Global Creative Design Director Pat McGrath has created two make-up looks ahead of the brand’s limited edition Star Wars collection, launching later this year.  Designed as a pair, the unveiled looks are entitled Droid and Stormtrooper, reflecting a light vs. dark side inspired by the franchise.  These two looks form part of a collection of six – three pairs – all inspired by iconic characters in the films and have been created using Max Factor product, include some items for the forthcoming range.  More information will be released in due course.

Light Up with Sleek MakeUP


Sleek MakeUP has created its Barekissed Illuminator (£8.99), suitable for contouring, highlighting and strobing. The lightweight fluid illuminator is available in four shades: Cuba (peachy coral), Casablanca (rosy pink), Monaco (nude) and Pomepell (dark tan), and can be worn in a multitude of ways for a more highlighted effect.

Eyes Primed with Benefit Cosmetics


Air Patrol from Benefit Cosmetics is a new BB cream eyelid primer that helps guard delicate eyelids from the sun, smoke and other pollutants.  The product can be worn alone or under make-up to protect, lock on eyeshadow, hydration and colour correct (£21.50).

New AW15 from Mineral Queen, Jane Iredale


jane iredale has announced the launch of its AW15 make-up collection, available from September.  The new PlayOn Lip Crayon (£14), is available in seven shades, containing a soft and creamy formula that provides strong colour pay-off and a high concentration of moisturising oils to leave lips conditioned and soft.  The pencil design is comfortable to hold and allows precise application.  Shades include: Charming (bubblegum pink), Naughty (brick red), Luscious (rose brown), Blissful (sheer nude), Yummy (sheer peach), Hot (pink red) and Saucy (hot coral).  The new PurePressed Eye Shadow Singles (£15) are available in four new shades: Steamy (shimmery pink copper), Iris (matte cool violet), Mermaid (shimmery sea foam) and Forest (matte deep green).  The mineral-based pressed eye shadows can be used wet or dry, are crease-resistant and long-lasting.  The product can also be used on cheeks as a blush and on lips as a stain.

Flash Tattoos Collaborate with Beyoncé


Flash Tattoos has collaborated with Beyoncé to launch the new Beyoncé Collection (£25), available at Harrods from September.  Combining Beyoncé’s artistic vision with Flash Tattoos’ signature aesthetic, the collection features an array of eclectic signature beehive-inspired designs in metallic gold and black colours; an edgier take on traditional jewellery. The temporary tattoos in the collection are designed to be worn individually on the arms, legs, wrists, back, legs and hands, or styled over one another to create layers of detail.

Urban Decay AW15 Collection


Urban Decay AW15 will be on sale from October and includes: Brow Tamer Flexible Hold Brow Gel (£15), offering a precise, easy-to-use brush with a lightweight formula to provide a flexible and comfortable hold without being stiff or sticky, available in four different tints or clear shade; Brow Beater Microfine Brow Pencil and Brush (£15), a waterproof formula to provide a smooth, even application with a precise microfine tip, as well as a mechanical, retractable pencil and spoolie brush; and Matte Revolution Lipstick (£15), featuring a pigment-infusion system to give the formula a creamy texture, high pigment and matte colour dispersion, as well as illipe butter for long-lasting moisture.

Christmas Ambience from Hourglass


Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit (£65) has been created just for Christmas.  The brand has introduced its limited edition wardrobe of powders, blushes, bronzer and the debut Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder, an illuminating powder to create the ideal highlight.  The Ambient Lighting Edit contains six shades suitable for every skin tone, making the complexion appear softer and lit-from-within, including: Luminous Flush (champagne rose blush fused with Luminous Light), Mood Exposure (soft plum fused with Mood Light), Luminous Bronze Light (medium tan with Luminous Light), Dim Light (neutral peach beige), Diffused Light (warm pale yellow) and the new Iridescent Strobe Light (rose pearl).  All Ambient Lighting products use Photoluminescent Technology to filter out harsh light and refine the appearance of the complexion.  The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit will be available in November from Liberty, NET-A-PORTER.COM, Space NK, Urban Retreat at Harrods and select John Lewis stores.

NovaLash Create Cream Shadows and Pencils


NovaLash, better known for their eyelash extensions, has created a range of Cream Shadows (£18) and JETLiner pencils (£14), following the successful launch of its semi-permanent 24 Hour Cream Shadow kit.  The collection includes 15 shades from earthy Garden of Paradise and neutral Purity and Chastity, to rich Oxblood, with three different finishes that include Satin, Matte and Crystal.  Each cream shadow can be complemented by NovaLash’s smudge-proof JETLiner eyeliner pencil, which is available in two colours – Cardinal Sin and Oak. Each cream shadow is highly pigmented and 100% water and sweat-proof.

Olivia Palermo is Guest Creative Director at Ciaté to Create Make-up


Ciaté and the brand’s Guest Creative Director Olivia Palermo have unveiled their latest beauty offering for autumn. The new collection include: Cheekbone Cheat Blusher/Bronzer Duos (£25), available in two shades, including Bluff Point (deep pink) and Seaside Pink (peach) and offering a soft powder formula with added bamboo extract to help absorb excess oil; Smokey Suede Eyeshadow Palette (£35), with nine shades (four matte, five shimmer) inspired by this year’s AW15 runway trends, ranging from aubergine, deep brown and grey; Smoked Out Gel Kohl Liners (£15), a pencil that combines an easy glide application with the longevity of a gel and the intense colour pigment of a kohl, available in Black and Fig shades; and Satin Kiss Lipsticks (£19), which provides highly pigmented colour with moisturising properties to achieve a semi-matte finish in shades Velveteen (classic red), Truffle (pink), Cashmere (nude) and Praline (burgundy).

Elizabeth Arden has unveiled its limited edition Golden Opulence Color Collection, designed to contour, design and glow.  The collection includes: Beautiful Color Highlighter in Gold Illumination (£29), a tri-tone, shimmering powder highlighter to add an instant soft, natural glow to the skin by offering shades of champagne, gold and bronze; Beautiful Color Eye Shadow Quad (£26), which includes four shades: a deep metallic emerald, sparkling pink champagne, matte brown and gold; Beautiful Color High Intensity Liquid Eye Liner in Jet Black (£18), a water-resistant liquid liner that supplies high-intensity colour via a felt tip nib; and Beautiful Color Luminous Lip Gloss in Imperial Shimmer (£18), a moisture-rich lip gloss in a shimmery orange-peach shade that offers long-lasting colour and shine, while also conditioning and adding fullness.  The full collection will be available from 24th August at, while the Liquid Eye Liner and Highlighter will be available across UK Elizabeth Arden counters nationwide in the lead up to Christmas.
