As you may have heard, we at Warpaint have a new destination on our map. For everyone on the Emerald Isle who haven’t been able to attend our competitions and demonstrations at the Professional Beauty Shows in Manchester and London, you’re in luck! We’re thrilled to announce that we will be bringing the Warpaint Competitions to Professional Beauty Ireland this October for all Irish MUAs and students!
The show will be held over the 11th and 12th of October, we’ll be setting up shop at The RDS in lovely Dublin with the Professional Beauty team. Our four competitions will be running on the 12th October, and we can’t wait to see the fantastic looks that Ireland’s talented MUAs can create. Here’s some more information on the four categories which are available for entry:
Special FX – Theme: Halloween
5 hours will be allowed for this category – 10:00 – 15:00.
You will be judged on your interpretation of theme, design inspiration and application of appliances. Wigs and headpieces are important, as well as the costume but it’s your skill and creativity that will win the day here.
Fashion – Theme: Street Style
2 hours will be allowed for this category – 10:30 – 12:30
Street Style is associated with youth culture, and has emerged not from the studios but from the grassroots – now’s your chance to give us your interpretation of one of the major trends.
Editorial – Theme: The Lure of Luxe
2 hours will be allowed for this category – 10:30 – 12:30
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder – create the perfect editorial photographic look. Application techniques finish and final scrutiny are the key attributes here, which is why we take close up editorial shots of each and every entry. This year, the story is The Lure of Luxe and we want to see make-up and styling that encompasses luxury and opulance.
Bodypainting – Theme: Fairytales
Available at both Student and Pro Levels. 5 hours will be allowed for this category – 10:00 – 15:00
We are looking for exceptional work, either brush and sponge or airbrush, combined with costume, headpiece and innovative use of props.
We’ve enlisted some very talented and local MUAs and experts to judge each category, which we’ll announce in due time!
Come for the competitions, stay for the huge variety of exhibitors, demonstrations and fantastic atmosphere that characterises the show. With over 250 brands attending, hundreds of new products launching, live stages and seminar programmes, there is something for everyone.
