Autumn colours from Clarins


Clarins has unveiled its Autumn Make-Up Collection, harnessing a selection of natural shades including soft beige, soft pink, smoky purples and carbon black. The new Limited Edition Pretty Day 5-Colour Eyeshadow Palette (£33) includes five wearable eyeshadows in both matte and shimmering formulas; while the new Eyebrow Pencil (£17) to tame unruly brows or redefine the shape is available in 01 Dark Brown, 02 Light Brown and 03 Soft Blonde. Also launching is the Ombre Matte (£19) cream-to-powder eyeshadows in new shades 07 Carbon and 08 Heather, offering a matte finish with long-lasting hold; Crayon Khol (£17), available in Carbon Black and True Violet; and Rouge Eclat(£19), offering two new shades including Tawny Rose and Red Paprika that protect lips against dehydration and boosts collagen. The collection will be available nationwide from August.

Illamasqua has revealed their latest collection, DUSK has been designed to combine the art of contouring with skin sculpting and creative eye definition. It launches exclusively at Selfridges on 17 July, and is inspired by make-up art of the Middle East and includes: Sculpting Palette (£44), containing six versatile powder shades which work in harmony to contour and highlight, including champagne shimmer to matte light peach, ash taupe and coffee; Slick Stick Eye (£18.50), a colour intense, retractable eye crayon with a water-resistant formula available in Mass (black), Igneous (plum) and Alloy (bronze); Slick Stick Lips (£18.50), a retractable lip crayon available in shades True (nude), Flush (pink) and Adorn (red); Illustrator Pen (£20), offering a skinny tip to allow precise application, along with a water proof super black formula; Limited Edition Powder Blusher in Cherish (£22), an intense apricot tone that provides a lightweight texture with rice starch to soften skin; Limited Edition Lipstick in Born (£19.50), a warm rose moisturising lipstick with a matte finish; and Limited Edition Quiver False Eye Lashes (£15), handmade and cruelty free, the eyelashes add volume and length.

Sara Hill, make-up artist/art director turned magazine editor, has announced the launch of her debut make-up collection to the market after five years in the making. Born from a desire to ‘free the freckle’ by creating the perfect foundation, Sara has developed a brand offering a full range of make-up that is suitable for all. The collection is split into three categories – Face, Eyes, Lips – and includes a primer, foundation, concealer, shine & sculpt kit as well as eyeshadows, glitters, mascara and eyeliners, as well as lipsticks, glosses and lipliner in a variety of shades. Sara is currently editor & creative director of inde­pend­ent fash­ion and cul­ture magazine HOPE ST and has over 17 years of experience in the industry. She is currently represented by S:Management and has worked with many notable personalities including Kanye West, Marina and the Diamonds, Grace Jones and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Sara was Winner of the UK “Make-up Artist of the Year Award” in 2012 and the Look awards “Expert Make-up artist of the year” in 2015. The new make-up collection is priced from £13 and is available to purchase online.

Accessorize has created a brand new cosmetics line, featuring a selection of make-up products for eyes, lips, face and nails. Designed with the Accessorize teen to twenty-something customer in mind, the range focuses on the essential items, including Magic Eyelashes Mascara, featuring a transformable wand which can be twisted into three different precision brushes; Eye Love It Gel Liner; Eye Lover Liquid Liner; Tame Me Brow Shaper, complete with three tones of colour and an applicator wand and gel; Gem Eyeshadow; Chubby Lips Lip Pen; Love Lips Lipstick; and Light Me Up Gloss, available in four shades with a neon LED light-up lid. Products for the face include a mattifying Prime Time Primer; Hide & Conceal Me concealer kit with three tones; Highlight Me powder; and a selection of blushers and bronzers, including Make Me Blush and Shimmer Powder Mosaic. The products all come encased in unique in-house designed packaging featuring polka dot prints, London and Paris designs and a girly boho gem and flower print. The collection, available this month, is priced from £4 for a Glitter Gloss, ranging to £14 for an Eyeshadow Palette.

MAC announces their latest collections

MAC Cosmetics has two new collections launching in August. The limited edition Electric Cool collection offers a selection of 16 Eye Shadows (£16) that fuse electrifying pigments with high frost for maximum coverage. The soft, springy formula applies with creamy comfort and easy flexibility. Shades include: Iced (pearly white), Electric Illumination (bright silver), Photosphere (soft gold), Love Power (frosty white rose), In Orbit (light warm neutral), Superwatt (light shimmering taupe), Electroplate (slate grey), Coil (copper bronze), Gravitational (coppery neutral), Brilliantly Lit (lime), Dynamo (peach), Infra-Violet (magenta), Highly Charged (purple with pink pearl), Emerald Power (emerald green), Switch to Blue (rich cobalt) and Black Sands (black with green pearl).

The MAC Veluxe A Trois collection features products for eyes and lips, and sees the brand’s Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow reintroduced in a trio form (£24). The original powder-to-cream formula is remixed in six palettes with new colours that include everyday staple shades and more luxe shades: Collective Chic (peachy champagne, green khaki, plum brown), Claretluxe (light pink, burgundy pink and red purple), Lapisluxe (white, blue and grey) and Cool Companions (light gold, green and black). Also featured in the range is Lipstick (crème sheen £15.50) in How Topical (nude beige), Pillow Talk (warm nude), Flowerscope (red with blue undertone) and Quelle Surprise (purple berry); Cremesheen Glass (£17.50) in Softly Lit (soft beige), Loud & Lovely (fuchsia), Richly Revered (wine brown) and Dark Outsider (black); Haute & Naughty Too Black Lash mascara (£19) and Haute & Naughty Waterproof Lash in black (£19).

Shimmering Skin from BECCA


BECCA Cosmetics has announced the launch of its new Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured. The popular Shimmering Skin Perfector product will now launch in a brand new créme formula available in all five shades at Space NK and Cult Beauty in September, priced at £30. The pigment rich formula imparts a hint of mattified luminosity, whereby ultra-fine luminescent pearls reflect the light for a natural radiance. Shades include Moonstone, Opal, Pearl, Rose Gold and Topaz.

Colour Switch from KISS


KISS Cosmetics has announced the launch of its Colour Switch lip product, a pure white lip base that can add new dimensions to an existing lip shade. The product can turn each KISStick and Lip Vinyl into an alternative lighter shade, offering a solution to purchasing various new colours.
