H&M unveils new beauty line

High street retailer H&M is relaunching its beauty line, which will include a full range of make-up, haircare, bodycare and beauty styling essentials. Ready this autumn, the new beauty range will encompass seasonal trends and colours, products will be available in over 900 stores worldwide and online. There will be new, dedicated beauty areas in stores for customers to experiment the products. The collection will include over 700 make-up items, with seasonal drops of new and limited edition colour palettes throughout the year. The new assortment, which will replace existing beauty products at H&M, will also include two subsidiary collections: a premium beauty line and a conscious range of Ecocert-approved sustainable products.

Stila’s Sun, Sea & Splash collection for Summer 2015

Stila will launch its Sun, Sea & Splash collection for summer next month. The range includes the Aqua Glow Watercolor Blush which offers a weightless, water-based blush to provide a sheer splash of buildable colour. The formula also has a rejuvenating cooling effect and is available in five shades: Water Poppy (red), Rosewater (pale pink), Shimmering Lotus (golden pink), Water Lily (rose pink) and Water Blossom (pink violet). The new Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick is a creamy-matte, full-coverage lip colour that delivers intense moisture with bold, long-lasting colour in five shades: Venezia (bright red), Rosa (bubblegum pink), Amalfi (coral pink), Como (bright violet) and Bella (bright pink). Also forming part of the collection is the Aqua Glow Perfecting Primer, a light-weight, water-based primer that instantly cools, refreshes and moisturises skin, while decreasing the appearance of under eye puffiness; limited edition Aqua Glow Perfecting Bronzer, a lipid-replenishing sheer veil bronzer with a waterproof, light-weight gel formula with hyaluronic acid; and Stay All Day Contouring Bronzer, a matte-satin bronzer available in three shades: Light, Medium and Dark. (£16-£28)

Hourglass Cosmetics launches Ambient Lighting Bronzer

Hourglass Cosmetics has added to its Ambient Lighting line with their new Bronzer, which fuses the illuminating effects of ambient lighting powder with versatile shades of bronzer to deliver a natural glow. The bronzer uses photo-luminescent technology to exhibit depth and dimension. The airy formula is soft and buildable for natural contouring and is available in two shades: Luminous Bronze Light, a medium tan shade fused with luminous light for a softer, candlelit warmth; and Radiant Bronze Light, a warm bronze shade fused with radiant light to mimic a deep golden tan. (£42)

COLLECTION Cosmetics has announced the launch of two new blushers as part of its Cream v Powder Campaign. The new Speedy Blush Sticks are an easy way to add a quick flush of long-lasting colour and are ideal for creating a natural, healthy glow with a velvety finish. The product comes in three shades: Tickles Pink (pink), Cheeky (coral) and Pinch Me (plum). The new Gorgeous Glow is a shimmering powder block, available in a blush or bronze variation. The colours are pigmented with rich bronze or warm pink hues to swirl together for a sun kissed complexion. (£3.99)

The English Mineral Makeup Company is a new high quality mineral make-up brand founded by mum and daughter team, Jeanette and Grace Burrows. The products contain only 100% mineral ingredients with no additives which can cause skin irritation, such as artificial or chemical colours, mineral oils, perfumes, preservatives or man-made minerals. The brand is vegan and cruelty free, while the raw supplies are also all sourced from companies who don’t test on animals. Products go on easily, are lightweight and provide coverage with a ‘soft focused’ effect, consequently blurring fine lines and wrinkles and include: Mineral Foundation, which is available in 30 shades to suit the lightest skin (Cool Fair) to the darkest African skin (Ultimate Warm) and comes with a mirror and complimentary Kabuki Brush; Fairy Godmother, which doubles as a primer or as a finishing product to add luminosity with its microscopic prisms that reflect light; and Blushers & Bronzers, 10 shades of product from Cool to Real Bronze in a mix of matte and soft glimmer finishes. SUQQU has announced the launch of two limited edition eyeshadow palettes for summer. Each palette comprises a highlight colour, middle colour and shade colour: Ex-01 Benikakesora – Bordeaux, which features warm sunset hues; and Ex-02 Yosaizora – Navy, which helps create a cool navy graduation. (£35)

RMK has announced the launch of a number of new products for summer, covering lips, eyes and nails. The Irresistible Bright Lips has eight shades and two limited edition shades, offering a hydrating formula that leaves lips moisturised; while the Irresistible Glow Lips offer a moisturising formulation, while providing an ultra-glossy finish that is available in 12 shades and three limited edition shades. The new Irresistible Sketch Lipliner, available in four shades, creates a natural silhouette to ensure a long-lasting and smooth application. Also launching is the Ingenious Powder Eyes in three limited edition shades; Ingenious Powder Cheeks in two limited edition hues; and Nail Colour in three limited edition shades. (£14-£19.50)

Lisa Eldridge announces book launch

Lisa Eldridge has just announced that she will be launching a book later this year. Face Paint – The Story of Makeup will explore the reasons behind make-up’s use, the actual materials employed and manufactured through the ages, the icons that people emulate and how they achieved their effects, the impact on women’s lives and the present and future of make-up from high profile practitioners artists to cosmetic breakthroughs. Along with the glamorous trappings, this is also about women’s history and the ways in which we can understand their story through the prism of make-up.
