Hourglass Cosmetics unveils 1.5mm Mechanical Gel Eye Liner

A 1.5mm Mechanical Gel Eye Liner (£36) is the latest product from Hourglass.   The waterproof gel liner is comes in a 1.5mm mechanical pencil, offering precision accuracy and ease of application, with a supple, moisturising formula that creates dramatic definition while resisting transfer, promoting extended wear.   Available in a package of three, each lasts approximately 17 to 20 uses.

Pantone’s Fashion Colour Report Spring 2015 released

The global authority on colour and provider of professional colour standards for the design industries, Pantone, has unveiled the PANTONE Fashion Colour Report Spring 2015, an overview of designers’ use of colour in their upcoming collections.   Released to coincide with New York Fashion Week, the PANTONE Fashion Colour Report features the top 10 colours for women’s and men’s fashion for the upcoming season, along with designer sketches, quotes and headshots.   The full report is available to see here.

The Showgirl Collection is the two new mascaras from Barry M that lengthen and volumise eyelashes (£4.99).  Showgirl Extra Lengthening stretches lashes, offering a brush and formula that lifts and sculpts each lash from root to tip; while Showgirl Extra Volume features a mega brush that lifts and fans out every lash for a fuller look without clumping.

NARS Cosmetics unveils new lipstick collections for 20th anniversary

The Audacious Lipstick Collection from NARS Cosmetics has been created in celebration of its 20th anniversary.  The lipsticks (£24) contain a pigment-rich formula which delivers an intense, full-coverage finish that applies in a single stroke.  The long-lasting formula is infused with ingredients known to smooth, moisturise and volumise, including tamanu oil and white mushroom extract, which adds a brightening effect.  The 30-piece collection is housed in weighted matte-black metallic cases with a magnetic closure.  Each shade has been named after women who have influenced François Nars throughout his career.  Actress Charlotte Rampling is the face of the new collection.

PUSH Make-up is a new Irish cosmetic brand.   Offering a range of products for the lips, eyes and face, with prices starting from £13, key products include: Lip Gloss Quad, with four shades to give a richly pigmented 3D effect; HD Foundation, which is a tailored buildable foundation with plumping effects; BrowsBeWow, an eyebrow gel which is paraben-free and makes brows look fuller and defined.

New Look unveils debut cosmetic collection

Another big name in High Street fashion has announced the launch of its debut cosmetic collection.   Pure Colour from New Look (£1.99 – £4.99) will be launching in to 120 stores across the UK and online, the 100-piece range boasts a range of products for face, eyes, lips and nails, as well as a collection of fragrances.   Key products include: five-shade Eyeshadow Palette, Matte Eyeshadow, Eyebrow Pencil and Mascara; Lip Liner and Matte Lipstick; SPF 15 Pure Colour Press Powder, Foundation, Concealer, Blusher and Bronzing Powder.   Nail Polish is available in 25 shades, while fragrances include: Pure Blush (oriental and citrusy), Pure Touch (fruity and floral), Pure Devotion (floral) and Pure Dusk (oriental gourmand).   Accessories such as brushes, tweezers and a hair brush also form part of the collection.

R.E.D Kristina Vidic is a new make-up brush brand directed by London-based make-up artist Kristina Vidic.  The brand offers a selection of make-up brushes which are hand-crafted and made in Japan, with a plan to expand into other grooming tools and cosmetics.  Brushes in the collection include: A1 Eyeshadow Brush, A2 Eyeshadow Blending Brush, A3 Eyeliner/Eyebrows Brush, B1 Powder Brush, B2 Blusher Brush, C1 Lip Brush, D1 Foundation Brush, D2 Foundation Brush and E1 Concealer Brush.
