Warpaint takes to the road this October for our annual trip to Manchester Central for Professional Beauty North, which is taking place on 19th and 20th October.
With emphasis on Northwestern MUA talent, our line-up reflects of some of the finest the North of England has to offer. Northern artists are showcased at Warpaint North.
Each week we’ll be profiling one of our speakers, this week meet Emily Clarkson.
Based in the North West, Emily Clarkson is an accomplished freelance make-up artist who works throughout the UK and internationally. Emily trained at Cassie Lomas Make-up Academy in Manchester and her work ranges broadly from photographic work, celebrity and aspects of fashion advertising. Fresh from her training, Emily was straight onto to the fashion scene where she worked at London Fashion Week for the Clements Ribeiro shows, a personal highlight for Emily.
Her work is varied from the Jeans for Genes campaign with TV star Jamie Lomas, Simply Be fashion shows to BBC Comic Relief. She has also assisted Cassie Lomas with the make-up of Coleen Rooney and Rebecca Ferguson, and has solely done make-up TV’s Charley Webb, Kym Marsh, Gemma Merna and many more.
Her work has featured in Reveal magazine, OK! and Hello magazine, as well as in commercials such as betfred.
The contour craze has taken over the world, from Kim Kardashian to runway shows, it’s the topic on everyone’s lips: how to recreate that perfect, structured face. Emily’s seminar will be covering how to contour on different skin tones and face shapes, the best products to use and how to enhance your features in a current and modern way. You will see a step-by-step tutorial on how to introduce highlighting and contouring to your every day make up, and then how to build it into your perfect party look.
