Ideal Resource Anti-Dark Circle Eye Illuminator from Darphin

ANTICERNE_ILLUMINATEUR_BD_without_contour

Darphin is one of our favourite skincare brands and Ideal Resource Anti-Dark Circle Eye Illuminator (£44) is the latest addition to the range.  The specialised treatment for the eye contour area delivers youthful radiance, soothes and restores vitality to the fragile area, which can show the signs of ageing, stress and fatigue.  The applicator tip is inspired by massage techniques used by beauty therapists at the Darphin Vendôme Institute.  Translucent optics technology visibly illuminates the eye area, providing lightening over time, while Siegesbeckia extracts and Oligopeptides stimulate collagen production, and green tea and caffeine help soothe and protect the eye contour.

By Terry at the National

Make-up maven Terry de Gunzburg was in London recently and not just to launch her Rose Infernale fall collection.  As an avid collector and patron of the arts, Terry herself has worked in collaboration with The National Gallery’s ‘Making Colour’ exhibition.

‘Making Colour’ is the first exhibition of its kind in the UK, taking the visitor on an artistic and scientific voyage of discovery.  From sparkling minerals to crushed insects, it’s about the surprising materials used to create pigments and the incredible journeys made by artists in their pursuit of new hues.  The gallery has pooled its expansive resources together with private pieces to put together displays of paintings, mineral specimens, textiles, ceramics and glass from lapis lazuli to cobalt blue, ancient vermilion to bright cadmium red, through yellow, orange, purple and verdigris to deep green viridian – in a series of colour-themed rooms.  Finally, enter a dazzling central room devoted to gold and silver.

As homage to this, Terry herself has created a collection of colour cosmetics entitled I Never Give Up.  The Ingu Palette (£150) is a richly pigmented colour block, purples, greens, aqua blue and yellow with electric pink, coral and orange.  Ocean Dream (£55) is a set of three, the on-trend inky hues with a highlighter designed for the smokiest of eyes.  Chubby Aqua-Print Eyeshadow sticks (£23) come in Green Fizz, Blue Fiesta and Violet Vibes and can be finished off with Terryfic Blue Growth Booster Mascara (£32).  The Gloss Terrybly Shine (£30) adds six shades to this collection from Be Nude to Flamenco Desire.
